View Full Version : PALMER TO RIDE IN 04 !!!
Rumours have it that Shawn "Napalm" Palmer will make a come back next year for the 04 season.
Apparently Palm is testing out some Turner bikes.
Will Palmer come back? will he be able to keep up with our Aussie Guns?
It would be hella cool to see him punk the scene.
Well keep an ear out for it.

sorry to be a smartass but..... that sounds like a baby care product. :D
as for the possible return of the man himself, it should prove interesting to see how he fares against the current top lads....
Most of which are LOCALS! Yipaah!!!
I admire his modesty.
He is obviously an incredible athlete, but DAMN he's arrogant.

this is true... but so is vouilloz, and anne-caro, to name a few...
most of the top riders these days are actually approachable human beings, but yeah, there's still some attitude on the circuit.

He goes out to win, not matter what it is, i'm sure he would still be on fire, he has the balls and the skills to win.
i have no idea about his current fitness, but he was never the fittest rider on the circut.

Just because he is arrogant to the camera doesnt mean he is an arrogant person. You see a lot of people that are real pricks in th media but when you meat them they are really nice people

That's like saying "just cos someone's arrogant when they talk to you, doesn't mean they're an arrogant person"...
Should be interesting to see him racing though.

But he wasn't that good! I mean I have a lot of respect for the guys vast array of skills, but really as a mtber it was only his attitude and style that made him stand out, not his actual race performance or victory resume.

not bad for a guy with no race performance.

He got second place in one world champs. That's a huge achievement, I know, but the way the guy is portrayed you'd think he is the greatest rider ever to live, yet he finished second to Nico, who's record is:
over 11 years: 199 races, 162 podiums (81 %), 113 victories (57 %).
Now that is good!
Pinkbike reporter Acadian "Luc" has reported that Palmer will not be racing in 04. :( booooo.

welcome mate!! 8)
Am I the only one that can't wait for the new season to start?
How are the Australian series going? Any word on Chirs' recovery?
CK will be off the bike for quite a while as far as I know Luc.
It was a very bad break :(
palmer rocks, hes my all time favourite rider, hell even maybe athlete(aside lance armstrong) but if he did come back and race i really cant see him getting anywhere, the level of fitness that these riders have now, and the stupily insane power(ie. rennie) is what is winning these days,
hell it would still rock to see him throw a leg over a bike at the WC tho :!:  :D

Sweet!
