You log onto Farkin, see news like this of the team for the worlds

http://forums.farkin.net/showthread.php?t=60949

The only thing missing is the XC! It's pretty common to exclude the XC from the news posts. I feel if Farkin is to grow, it needs to be different things to different people. The XC forum seems to be one of the more popular areas (just looking at numbers in that forum).

If the effort has gone into getting the DH and 4X surely it isn't that hard to include the XC. What does everyone else reckon.

I agree. The top left icon says "Farkin.net Australian Mountain Biking", and XC riders are mountain bikers too =D

Sounds like the right idea to me.

Don't take this the wrong way but a lot of the results we post up on the front page are copied from posts placed by the Farkin.net community.

If you search the XC forum, there are bugger all threads that contain results from State XC or Enduro races.

The main reason we have most results from World Cup, QLD and NSW DH races is due to the large amount of members that actually race these events. If there are any XC or Enduro riders that want to make it a regular thing to post up results, I'd be more then happy to place them on the front page. This also goes for SA, VIC, and WA riders.

Please ... no club level stuff

Like squid, I myself am not that interested in XC results, but agree that we should have the results and news up on the news page. If we can find someone willing to do this on a regular basis problem solved :)

Cool, well you ask the question the right way, you get the right answer. If I make some enquiries, who would I point the them to for media for the front page? Squid, Scott, Ryan, Grip et al?

me mainly.... dom and myself both have access to news@farkin.net

What about you scratchy? Would you like to take charge of XC? :)

Whoa, Whoa Whoa! (backing away from the keyboard slowly). Take charge? Me?! I would certainly be happy to contribute, but I'm probably not best positioned for 24/7 news guy (sitting here with lappie resting on top of empty cardboard box)- Sad but true.

***Damn you, Trav, you dibber-dobber!***

Yep, there are enough knowledgeable/in-the-know riders hiding out in the XC/Road section that should be able to give me the good oil on what's happening in the XC scene at the equivalent levels to the DH info that gets on the front page.

I'll start a thread in that section and see if I can get some regular feedback to send to Scott & Dom.

I've posted this: http://forums.farkin.net/showthread.php?t=61205

I see the main issue being that most people will be pretty bored by seeing lists of Americans and Europeans doing well in races we don't really care about, so I've asked specifically for people to help me find where in the world of XC that Aussies are doing well. It might not result in much, but the Green and Gold pops up occasionally, so I'll be sure to let people know when it does.
