I just sold my Dh bike and bought a technical scuba rig. Used it for the first time on the weekend. We checked out a report of a sunken vessel in Cruee Cove near Botany. It was there unfortunately it had broken up and was mostly junk on the bottom.

We took the registration and some of the more experienced guys salvaged some of the more expensive bits to give back to the owner.

Always wanted to try karting... do you race? if so what catergory and if you don't mind answering does it cost a lot to keep running?

If only I could afford all the ridiculously expensive hobbies I was interested in and have time to do them all.

keepin it real

Motorbikes (off road bikes) when I get the chance, and when dad isn't riding his :D. He has a sweet XR400 which is great fun. I'll try and get some pics up later

surfing - living about 200m form a tasty south coast break, surfing was always my main focus until about 1 year ago, and the bike seems to be taking over - slowly (still cant beat 4-6ft and offshore!!!)....
at least with the bike im not nearly as dependant on the weather and you mtnbiking lot are a pretty friendly bunch!!!

<ears prick up> More details please...........

I bought a Zeagle ranger harness and added a ss backplate, and a Tech and Escape wing (for singles and doubles). Got Aeris Atmos Pro regs, a Mares brigade octo and an Aeris Dual nitrox computer.

Looking to invest in a set of steel 72's in the near future, and do the GUE tech courses when I get my dives up, then look at selling my soul for a staged setup for deco diving, but that's probably at least a year away realistically.

I still dive wet and will probably have to switch to drysuits eventually if I want to get more technical...

Hahaha, this is as geeky and expensive as mountain bikes.

That's funny, as soon as I read your first post the word "Zeagle" flashed through my brain. Their stuff rules. I actually had a Zeagle BC on order when the shop I worked for closed down.

More so, breathe wrong on a mtb and you just get puffed.............

If im not riding, on a certain Australian mountain bike website (that will go nameless), fixing bikes, building tracks/jumps or thinking about my next ride, Im asleep!:p Or on rare occasions I have been known to partake in the motorized cousins of pushbikes, I own two a Yahmaha tt-r 125 (soon to be tricked out to da max) and a Honda CRF 250 (super motarded) and I share a Thumpstar with a mate.

I also have a 5.8 meter sea kayak I have set up with two rod holders. I have some great pics of catching some huge Trevally and Tuna out of it, but not here at work.

I like old stuff myself.

Im restoring a 1969 Suzuki T125 at the moment, two stoke twin cylinder beast.
Its a slow process but should be fun.

Also collect old cameras, got a decent collection of folders and old school stuff and develop my own b&w stuff. (mainly 120)
I do a bit of super 8 as well (when I can afford it..)

Old dirt bikes, got an 82 CR250R im doing up.

Gonna build a house soon though, thats my project for the next 30 years or so...;)

Can't find any pics but i'm into dirt bikes, also getting into the guitars as well. Also known to crack a fatty over a mean 4wd too. Haven't really driven though.

I have a ktm200exc which I haven't ridden for a year, sort've haven't been doing alot on 2 wheels generally the past year, but looking to get back into it once I sort my life out. I also have a suzuki rv-90 which I really want to restore. Not to original catalogue condition or anything, but as a sweet little put put. I learnt to ride on one of these things and I have a big place in my heart for them:

Lets see. I like porn and beer! Oh so do 95% of you? Well we have a common ground. I have a mortgage now, so I cannot dabble as much as I would like to, but this is what I like:
RC Gliders. Electric and winch versions. My last glider pulled 90+ amps out of 7 sub C (That is like a C cell but smaller) battery. Yes I do believe it takes about 3/4 (if I am not mistaken) amps to kill you.
Photography. Nearly made a career of it.
Outdoors. Namely Bushwalking and if I can, then Kayak Touring, Canyoning and Climbing. Like DH, I no longer have the nerve to do climbing:(.
Road bikes as in Schmoadies (The cafe/lycra set).
Did I mention porn and beer?

True...

mmm, so many toys, so little time
windsurfer- at the moment borrowed mistral joker 110, north sails and shite, would love a smaller board but the only place i sail is the puddle so need the float
snowboard- Burton dominant 159, drake f60's, burton ion boots, hasnt seen the snow this year but spring should be good...
esky lid- used to surf a lot but again canberra kinda cramps that...
started a trad climbing rack a while ago but its kinda gone on the backburner, not that it got too far.
oh and i work in a place where i have free use of kayaks of all shapes and sizes, so they are kinda my toys too.
i thought i had more, it feels like more thinking about the money i have blown on it all...

My mate used to race, and got out of it cos it costed so much.
He was constantly replacing tires and engines. I was also looking into starting, but quickly changed my mind after learning how much it was costing him.
Next time I see him I will ask for you.

For me its Kayak fishing - offshore and estuary. Don't mind water-skiing n snow skiing as well but don't get out very often. I was also recently introduced to the saturday afternoon pastime of drinking too much beer while driving a small electric buggy and chasing a white ball around a park...was pretty fun.

Hey Arete The catergory is called Rotax and the engines are 125cc they have push button start, a clutch, water cooled and put out 30hp and there is 2 classes light and heavy. Running cost are not to bad engine get rebuilds once a year if your a club racer which is about $800 - $1200 tyres are $255 a set and they last 3 race meetings and a couple a practice days but some guys put new tyres on for every race meeting.

There is no way to express the feeling of driving a rotax kart all i can say is i have owned some fast car and been is some as well and this blows them all away there is nothing like pulling 2.5g's through a s turns and going 120kph with your bum cheeks just 20mm off the ground, and it has better power to weight then my WRX subaru.

Wakeboarding - Do all of it at Eildon lake on a Hyperlite board and bindings

RC (mainly drifting) - Tamiya TT-01 chassis + Blitz R34 shell + smooth road = some good drifting fun.

Snowboarding - Don't go as often as I would like but it's still sweet fun.

And that's about it.

It was a BA Falcon ute, manual T56 live axel with custom panard kit. Plus a heap of other work 425kwts at wheels and 1167nts of tourqe at 5350rpm. Myn is exactly the same just havnt run it yet. Haha, likewise man. I bought my Electric at the start of the year for $800 (half price! off our family friend who is a Luthier...theres a massive story behind my guitar and bass and the guy who made them...i'll save that for another thread though.)

My comp I have finally upgraded to my minimum specs but I still want to spend more on moving to PCIe to get a better video card and I am dying for another 1gb of RAM and a bigger LCD to edit on.

My bikes are out the window at the moment. I am selling my main rig and just going to hardtail it around for the next few months and hopefully have a new FR-Lite rig next year (gone away from heavy shit now, I want a 6in do everything bike these days). The money from my rig is paying for a new video camera in time for University (studying FTV...and trying to save money for it too  )

And soccer isn't too much thankfully, although I split my fucking boots last weekend when I did the most attrocious miskick and my studs clipped the ground forcing the outside of my right foot through the side of my boot -_-
Another $150 or so gone!

AND...I *might* (rather slim chance I must say) be playing Big Day Out next year (not this one coming...the one after) and that is going to cost a shitload especially leading up to that. My amp is NOWHERE near giggable for something that big.

Top that off with general money to spend on going out, alcohol, food etc etc and money becomes VERY scarce!

i've built up a low 12 sec vb 308 commdore . made it too cranky to drive all the time so i had to sell it .plus the fuel was a killer for it too .good fun tho.we all used to cruise down the gold coast on a saturday night .that was also when fuel was 80c/litre too .driving to work was costing me $120 a week.stuff that.soon got sick of it.but car pooling did help it.

i've raced motocross at the same time too for bout 6 years now.spent way to much on them.only just got rid of my crf .i've only riden honda's and suzuki's also.

i also bought a year ago my 2nd road bike ,its a 04 kawasaki z750,got a pipe on it,usual stuff like oggy knobs, wicked fun and im looking at the new z1000 for 07. got a zx9 motor in it ,160hp should boogee pretty hard.had a suzuki sv650 before that, got sick of the v twin engine braking.

and i just put my money down on a new giant glory.should pick it up this weekend with any luck .they only arrived monday into melbourne.
so looking forward to getting my new toy.

Here's my other pride and joy. I try to go to the States every year and pick 'em up cheap over there. Also I get to ride kickass resorts...which is nice.
