View Full Version : V10 Powerrrrrrr
I've been whoring bike parts as always. Here is my latest ride. I just finished building her up, and im in need of a decent seat, and some chainstay gaurds etc. Only gone for a 5min spin around on it, its long wheelbase is noticable, but seems to ride and corner nicley. As borat would say; It's nice.
Had a quick measure, and it comes in around 20kg give or take abit. She won't be getting too much lighter then that either, unless i find a cheap ti spring(if there's such a thing). As mentioned below, the photo is average, but in real life the colour is quite nice, although there are a few other sc colours i'd prefer, but beggers can't be choosers.

Gosh Darn! That is a really huge improvement over the Yakuza (not that the Yakuza was bad or anything, but it is a Santa Cruz we're talking about here!)
Now we shall all Kow-tow to the awesomeness of Santa Cruz. We all love them.

Mike(or nat?) Well i've got my own car now, and im not working on weekends, so yes i should be starting to go out to the race soon.
Matt - I'll post better pics and a spec list for the heck of it later on.
Timoh - You're damn right.
Hubbie - The p3 is still white, although i have toyed with the idea of a respray but dont have any finds left.
And RR - Yes i am loving the Santacruz, pleased to be part of the SC represent.:p

*drool* I have a major obsession with these bikes!
When I was working at the bike shop they let me ride one down to the bakery to pick up lunch.:D Rode straight off a massive set of stairs and hardly felt a thing!
Ride it hard, make sure you post some actions snaps!!!

Alot of it is second hand, just careful pickings.
It took me 2 afternoons/evenings to build, which by my standard is a long time. This is because i was pulling down my other bike at the same time, and had to do a headset swap aswell. I also had to lace the rear wheel. Spec is posted in first post, although for some reason i couldn't space it out to make it easier to read?(must be some whacky settings?)
More pictures later when i can be a) bothered to take some decent pics and b) finding a time when im not riding it haha :p

Dear Sir,
I am writing in response to your remark about 'no need for a fancy front hub'. I am outraged to hear this come from you Davf, its people like you who put Chris King, Hadley, Ringle out of business. Shame on you! This remark is very un-Australian.
Ive been on Codine all day and that RED is nasty

Hardon city.
The only defect I can find for those old V10s is the excessive weight. But theyre unbreakable, nothing is quite as stable, nothing is quite as plush, and they still pedal well. Not to mention they just look damn good!

Ohnose im using logic someone help! Why should i use a front hub which cost $30 when i can spend $300 on a brand new hadley which weighs and performs the same. OH the shame.
The pic doesnt show the true colour. It's one of those colours that looks much better in real life.
Had a ride at a local track, and she performs extremely well, very smooth and eats bumps soo easy. Weight isn't too bad, and pedals better then any other dh rig i've ridden. I am very happy with it so far. Just need to find a decent seat....
