hey guys,
i was just wondering does the DK General Lee count as a freeride hardtail along with a big bmx? because i am thinking of getting one because i cant afford a real hardtail and this bike looks so much like technoboy's.....kinda :) also can you ride parks and trails with this bike?
One more thing can you install mtb bars without it feeling weird or is it made for bmx bars?
thanks

yer you can with a new stem but it might feel a little low... i guess you could put a low travel single crown fork (-100mm) and it would make a mad dj bike...
or why not just keep the bmx bars?

or why not just keep the bmx bars?
or why not get NPJ wonderbras? 3" rise with no cross bar.

thanks for the replys guys...i think i will get the NPJ wonderbra if i get the bike...which leads me to the next question...is this bike worth getting...it costs $424 which i think is insanely low and looks pretty good...does anyone have this bike and if so can you please tell me your experience with it and how it rides?
thanks

its a great bike it rides really smooth and is a good all rounder as for the mtb bar and stem on there i put a set on my dk24 although i had 26inch rigids which lifted the front end enough for it not to feel to low, if you do end up getting it you should really consider 26inch rigids with mtb bar and stem then your set.
if u can buy that your riding will probably improve really quickly, and you can buy better parts such as stem, bars, pedals, etc that will help you.
That bike looks good
Be happy with it:)

i reckon their an absolute bargain for a learner. i almost bought one but was too slow.
snap one up and wisely upgrade IF things break.
light, strong, cheap. what more can i say.

rigid 24" bmx - $400-$500.
rigid 24" mtb - $1000- $4000 if you want.
get it
get one, best fun bike i have owned! but the rims are made of cheese
I bought one about a month ago and really like it. I've never ridden bmx before, just mtb and i'm finding it hard but its a good challenge. Big respect for bmx riders now. The rims must be shite 'cause I landed on a gutter and now my rear wheel is slightly buckled and dented but for $400 how can you go wrong.

no it doesnt count as a freeride mountainbike, its a cruiser. if anything it would be a street mountainbike, having no shockies or gears or working front brake. why does it need a category ? no point making it more like a mountainbike. its a cruiser, they are built for jumping as is. your jus gunna stuff geometry with a 2inch longer fork and high rise bars.
