Hey, im looking at buying a new rear hub. All i want is strength, reliability and as much noise as possible. 72points of engagement. Im willing to spend $300, dont think im able to afford a hadley for $600. Hub is for a ht street bike, want a hub able to handle dh/dj/street/park. Hub size would be 135mm, one that fits onto the stp0. So what hubs should i be looking at buying?

Edit- Have gears at the moment, planning on going ss. Might save up a bit more as well.

You're not going to find any hub in that price range with 72 engagement points unless you're looking for a second hand Hadley. As for new hubs, if you're willing to import them from the UK through chainreactioncycles.com, your best bet would be a Hope Bulb or Hope Pro II hub (the trials hub above is singlespeed only...). Both the Bulb and Pro II will hold up, and at those prices they're amazing value.

well for 300ish, can you get a normal (non cassette) type hub and get that screw on driver with 72pt engagement on it? (sorry not sure on prices so it may or may not be within the budget)

NS ss hub $135
and white industries freewheel with 72 engagements for $180

or you could get any screw on free wheel hub and get a decent freewheel and ben said something about tryall releasing a 108pt freewheel as well.
