Just wondering if anyone has purchased anything from these guys in the states? "Drop n' Zone" I'm going to give them a go with a helmet. Their prices seam to be really good even with the conversion.

Does that even make sense? I can see many arguements for supporting your LBS, but trail access doesn't seem to be one of them.

Maybe something like "If you fail to support your local bike shop, you may find yourself with nowhere to get your bike serviced" would work a little better.

On topic : no, I have not bought anything from Drop n zone, but if there prices are good, then it may be worth trying them out. If you are unsure, buy something small and cheap from them. If it works, then you can feel a little more confident about shelling out serious cash online. I used a similar process with eBay to build up my confidence with buying online

Message from the store.

'The US watchdogs have tightened down tremendously on online advertising of products below reccomended retail pricing. Therefore the prices on DropnZone may not be the best price we can do for you. We do price match where ever possible if a legitamate competitor has a product for less. Regardless though, always email us and ask what the price of the products you seek are to ensure you get the best deal.

Dropnzone is a great store, Allen is very helpful.

They also have far more than what is listed on their site, they have what is on www.bti-usa.com plus far more.

I just ask Allen if he has a part, and generally he does at an awesome price :)

Drop N Zone Fucken rocks!

Got my helmet and goggles from there, my E13, my mate a pair of Pikes, and i just bought 2 pairs of Crank Brother 5050's from him. (On the site, they're $120 RRP... he sold me them for $84!)

And yes, you'll find the prices he sells you things are alot less than whats advertised on the site, and that he has alot more.

Go for it, you wont regret buying from there.

Ok here my experience with Drop N Zone:

Earlier this year I decided to build a set of DH wheels using Syncros DPS32's in white. No problem I built the front, wicked then about a week later when it came to the rear I was told by my LOCAL bike shops and by that I mean all the local shops that deal with downhill, that dirtworks (the sole apparent importer) has none left in OZ (and yes no LBS with stock either), and after checking seemed to be the case. (later found out that Bikeshedmortdale had one)

I purchased the said rim from Drop N Zone and in total, including shipping cost about $10 less than here.. BUT on arrival about 4 days later I discovered to my horror that this new rim had an eyelet that during manufacture had been punched in too hard and far, tearing the inside of the rim. (Yes BEWARE SYNCROS HAS SHITE QC CONTROL)

I photographed it and gave the detail to Allen. He immediately sent another, telling me to keep the damaged rim (cost involved sending back no brainer), he would recover the loss from Syncros. The rim arrived perfect another 4 days later!! :D

So in short the guys there ROCK, they are honest and back up what they sell, that I can say is more than many LBSs do here.

First time DNZ buyer here - I ordered a Thomson Post & Odi Grips which should arrive this week all going well.
Great products, price & service - what more could you ask for.
My order came to $115 in total - that's including postage.

Couldn't even get a better price for the seatpost alone on ebay! ($69 US including shipping! which is about $92 AU)

Providing delivery doesn't take overly long I'll definitely be considering DNZ for any future bike parts I may need to purchase.

Just like a heart rate monitor I was buying recently, all local dealers sold it for $220, I could get it shipped from the US (that's from an approved dealer not an ebay store) for $160 (that's max - in reality more like $130). To be fair I emailed the locals & asked if they could match (or at least do a better price). I realize they wouldn't match it but they wouldn't even move an inch so to speak. Had they said yes we can do it for $190 or $200 I may have brought from them supporting the local industry - hell that's only a 10% discount so not like it was too much to ask!
In the end since buying OS I decided to get it from an ebay seller, $120 total, he reckons warranty is still effective but I'll take that with a grain of salt & take the chance - could always buy another one and still wouldn't be much behind!

I just ordered from Allen the other day and I must admit his e-mail service is awesome, unlike a lot of other online shops. I even received a free T-shirt, for being a first time customer :D. I bought a set of 2007 Revelation U-Turns for $720AU including postage. I even got a tracking number and I could see the progress. I was sure that they would turn up yesterday and they did.
