Went for a ride this morning at the You Yang’s, and was surprised to find an Indian production company filming a film based on DH?
"Love Story 2050 is India's first futuristic film and tells the story of a man who wins a woman's heart through his deeds in a mountain bike race."
Sounds pretty funny, but the riding should be decent with Gus and other top locals rumored to be working on it. Anyone known anymore information? This is defiantly a movie im going to have to see

yeah the got 20 of melbournes fastest riders out there, then they realised they are too fast! so now they are all having to slow right down.
Emo Tim had to be a stunt double so he got his arms shaved and fake tanned, had to wear a wig and stockings. :p

Ha ha! That's excellent! I wonder why they chose Australia for filming and I wonder what this will do for the sport in India? Anyone know whether there is a scene in India yet?

latest update is that Tim stacked and split his chin open, 9 stiches, good job Tim!... workers comp ? :confused:
and apparently the have no idea what they are doing, the lead actors turn up and say "so what am I doing?" crazy thing is they have put more $$$ into the buget for DH "stunt cyclists" is probably bigger than most MTB DVDs

I knew nothing about it till I went riding up there today. Theres two blokes standing in the middle of the track, made no effort to get out of the way, lucky I didn't stack I came off the track and hit a rock. I stopped around the corner to check out what they were doing, they had a hand saw and were cutting branches off trees. I rode up to the top of the track thinkin I might call the rangers or something, and then saw all the trucks and shit at the top of the down hill track.
I joined the Geelong MTB club forum to keep upto date for when I go riding at the Youies. They had no info on there at all. I should have known to come to Farkin. Still it would be nice to know beforehand if theres going to be idiots standing in the middle of a bike only track. Its cost me a chain wheel

well last sunday we were at mt dandy posing, and it was suposed to be youies from tuesday thru friday then back to dandy saturday.
pft fastet riders, it was whoever put there hands up.
There a very unorganised bunch of people seem to do everything on a spur of the moment thing.

HEheh What a crack up. Yeah If you've ever watched bollywood movies they like to have scenes shot in loads of different countries on location. I have a few (female) friends who are quite into bollywood dancing so I've had to sit thru a few of them. :rolleyes: Last year I had the pleasure of meeting Preity Zinta at a barbeque in the edinburgh gardens in melbourne :) who is apparently like one of bollywoods top stars.

i was there today and it was a little annoying. They tried to seal off the top of a double black downhill trail, luckily you can join the trail a bit further down.
On a side note, you knew you were getting closer to the end of certain climbs when you could start smelling curry, I kid you not.

That is really funny. I can't wait until it comes out. My GF is half indian so i've seen quite a few bollywood movies. Some of them are actually quite good, in a funny way. And Preity Zinta is sooo hot. Some of my fav pics.

Today I was there, riding up along the gravel road from the carpark to the DH track and I could smell curry, then looked ahead and the place was full of cars/trucks/riders and curry.
Man, there was some HOT Indian chick there today, she was one of the actors I presume. :Drool: :cool:. I'd Hit it. :drool: and :drool: again.
I'd give her a ride on my fox 40 anyday. :p

that hot chick u saw was probably miss universe 2000. shes the main chick in the movie and been going out with the main actor for a few years.. when we saw her walking around, it made the day so much better! daaaaamn fine!
