28 foot drop + footage

here are some of the pictures and movies of the drop we built off the side of a cliff near my house in melbourne its 28 foot high(10 metres) did it just today and it was farkin huge plus the guy in the red that stacks is on a hardtail, but redems him self in the 3 vid

its 10 metres vetical and probley about 13-14 to middle of the landing, im gonna try a 1 hander tomorrow so if i do it(succesfully) ill put the video up, plus the kid on the hardtail is a farkin huck machine

its me on the hardtail!! i would have made it but tim (norcotim) pulled a tree out of the ground and i rode over it and it fliped me over the handle bars. the first time it was smooth as. the second time is when i fell off :(

I conclude that photos are no help, if you measured it then fair enough. Props anyway for the drop it's still bloody big no matter what.

the tree's are growing out of the side of the cliff, plus measured it as 10 metres down(with northshore landing)and about 13 with out, and on the angle it is about 14 metres to the middle the dirt landing, the northshore landing is there as a safety from casing or comin up short(just to be half safe)

ALthough it is fairly judgemental to say "twelve feet", by just looking at the photo (and i myslef believe that it is quite a bit bigger), you may remember Ben Watkins was a member of the banshee freeride team (if it is that i am recalling correctly)

Actually 28 feet is more like 8.7m

I know what 10m is like to look at because we had a 10m tower for beginner abseiling instruction and thats why I just couldn't agree with 10m. It towers over the nearby trees including some pine trees that are about 3/4 foot thick in the trunk, so they aren't little trees.

nah it wont get pulled down, the guy on the haidtail, dad works for the council so that how we got permission do build it, so ill be surprised if it gets knocked down, if it does it will be buy little shit but it is pretty ahrd to get up there so i dont think so

yeah its really behind the bottle shop (celebrations) and there an easier way up the hill if you go up where the rockwall is (1-2 meter high) then go up next to the fence and walk around its the easiest way up

That is one big drop. I knocked off work early today and chucked my bike in the back of my van went and took a look and a huck.

it is farkin big. But not 10m big. The drop from the n/s to the last 3/4 of the fence down ramp would be a max of 15 ft. i would say from the flat at the bottom garden to the tip of the n/s would be about 25 - 30 ft, but not the drop itself.

Props to the battler on the hard tail, you are a ballsy little munchkin. My V10 had to use all of it's suspeneion resources to land my big arse off it. But i am 26 y.o and 93kg.

ahh nice as. north shore wall is cool. lol. massive drop. me and my friends have about a 12-14ft drop. its really tense the first time you do it but after a while it's fine.
