Here are a few photos from Queenstown, NZ. The freeride park here is under construction at the moment but looks completely off the show already. There's a bit of everything in here, including a line of massive booters, a massive road gap and some really cool woodwork. The photos don't do the place much justice but when it opens I'll post up a few more with riders hitting this stuff. Not a bad view over the back either.

How much would staying a week at both Queenstown and Rotorua set you back approximately in terms of accomodation and airfares? (i'm not talking about 5 star resorts btw)

I just got back from Queenstown on the weekend and that park is awesome, rode a few parts that were open and once its finished it will be great. It looked so much fun I was pissed the best bits were still closed.
Right near town and steep.. it will be well worth another trip back.

Its on the gondala hill, but dont start thinking you can use the gondola, that is a no go zone with bikes...dont ask me why, just is.:(
Entry / Exit are right on the road so shuttles will take about 5 min turnaround.

Yeah, I think so. There are a couple of trails down the mountain but they both end up going through this open area with all the jumps and north shore. There are so many different lines through the park... I can't wait to ride it when it opens. Until then we've been riding at this local DJ spot.

It reminds me of Whistler a lot as well (cry) I keep expecting to see a bear wander out of the pine forest. Good thing about this place is the big stuff isn't roped off like it is in The Boneyard. There isn' much info on the park that I know of, but it is free and can be shuttled very easily.
