dude did you ever even get to ride the laf ?

i seen and had a roll on a new deal they are nice but they are teh felxy
the dropouts are soo small and deadly looking the dropouts are smaller than the dropouts on my oddy races .
the guy who owns it does do a hell of a lot of tailwhips and he did a whip to tire tap and the wheel decided to flex, it flexed to probably 60degrees

i stripped my shadow crow then changed the seat base then shaved its foam then recovered it looks good imo . http://forums.farkin.net/photo/data/500/IMG000008.jpg

Not many changes for me, just whacked on some pegs (fly 10mm front, fit 14mm rear) and some gsport gland hubguards.
Shoelace for front guard is temporary (broken a spoke, zipties will go on when it's replaced).

Just got this bike today. Big shout to strictlybmx.com... Very reliable place to purchase from.

The bike is the FITbikeco Team Trail (metallic bergundy)sp?

This is my first bike without dual suspension and so far its going ok. Feels quite good and light. I am only planning on using the bike for park and street and will be purchasing a good set of lower rise bars (let me know ideas if you have any). Will be getting a few coloured parts to make it more pleasent on the eye.

I got a new brake setup, new seat and post, pegs and some new grips.
Got the parts through danscomp and pretty stoked at how quick i got them. they arrived at my doorstep 5 days after i ordered the parts, even though it was christmas season and there was a weekend within the 5 days.

heres a few pics. I hope you find my dads work van amusing. If your internet dies I apologise in advance.

Also people have told me that they are heavy, have you noticed this?

haven't noticed it being too heavy, but yes, the brake doesn't work too well. It's quite new so I'm not sure if the brake will get better with use.

On friday Im picking up the frame & bars that i got custom made that i mentioned a while back.

Its only the prototype so its not the lightest tubing he has available It weighs 4.4lbs.
The guys lazer cutter was playing up so I didnt get to use the gussets that i designed.

So he said i can thrash this frame for 8months & he is going to make a lighter frame with the gussets that i wanted & swap it. it should be at least 4lbs with the lighter tubing

Ive got all my parts for it at home.

official forks & sprocket
Wombolt cranks
hazzard light rear wheel
vandero front hun with rhyno lite rim
fly stem
random odyssey bits & pieces

Has anyone got any feedback on the wombolt cranks? are they reliable & practical? I thought i would try them out.

your going to have fun running 25-9 on that frame, when i had one i had 28-10, and the chain sat so close to the chainstay that no matter how tight it was it constantly hit the chainstay.

3) geez, i can get the wheel w/ 11t driver, maybe i will...it does look rather close even there....i'll work something out

magic for them stickers i work wonders.I just got some old sticker backing the white or yellow stuff that you peel stickers of i kept that so i could use it with my fly stickers i just slide the sticker backing stuff under the fly stickers on the frame placed my thumb on the sticker and pulled than put the hole sticker on it than when i went to stick it back on the frame after paint i just hit it with the hair dryer for a while just for that extra bit of stickyness i was happy that i could reuse them

There old ones i found on my old mongoose bmx. They are unbeleivably similar to slams, 8 inch rise, same backsweep, 26" inches wide which is less than slams but i dont like it that wide anyway, and same thickness. I think they were a very good find, they make the bike feel so much better.

Are you sure its not just surface rust and your just worrying about nothing?

If your that worried about it get some rust converter and poor it into your bars and move the bars around a bit. should stop it from rusting.

The new eastern bars ay, what you think?

I think that theyre alright, the feel (sweep, height etc is fine), being a pretty small guy ill cut an inch off each side to 26" as i find im holding the inner edge of the grips. They're firm (not flexible feeling as ive heard from others) and the weight is alright, definitely not heavy.

Brakes (might be) going back on soon, Five-dock wasn't made for brakeless..
Brakes will probably turn into the most changing thing on my bike..

Hey leechie what happened with your rear hub and the wobbalage?.

Hey leechie what happened with your rear hub and the wobbalage?.

Umm well the wobble was pretty bad, so I took out the axel and grinded about 1mm off each shoulder so that the bearings would be pushed closer together. Its fixed it a little bit but I still got the wobble. I need to grind some more off but it being titanium and the area to grind so small its a pain in the ass to do!

Just buy the bars that have the specs you want then if they don't come in 25" get the in like 28" and cut them.

how much did the demolition anorexia cost you? know of any more on ebay?

the one i got was black, 9t, rhd, 36h
and it was $82USD + $20USD postage, which works out to just under $120AUD

but there was only the one on there for 82, im sure they'll put another one up?

there is a white one from the same place, its $100USD though, works out to about $140AUD posted (still 60 bucks under retail in Australian shops)
