Ody linear cable in blue
Ody path front tyre
Animal asm rear tyre (love the slick)
Ody hazard lite 36h chrome rim
Fly bikes brake caliper in white
Ody Elementary stem
Cut right axles f/r
Cut seatpost down heaps
Future mods: New pedals, should I get fly rubens, or just jcs or hamiltons? New bars, fited hopefully. Half link chain. That's about it.
Weighs about 12.8 kg, and that's fine for me, I don't really want it much lighter. Rides great, sooo annoyed I can't ride it right now for months (knee op a week ago).

whats with all the rust X ???
whats with all the rust X ???
Haha. You can blame my dad for that. I cut down my axles flush on the left, making it raw, therefore more prone to rust. Then my dad packed the car to go on holidays the night before we left, so it rained all night over my bike  .
But most of it is terry hills dirt, not rust.
julianwisbey
28-01-2007, 12:59 PM
damn that terry hills dust its like the finest stuff ever i have been there twice when i pulled down my frame and bb the pivots were full if it and so was the bb shell
hubbie
28-01-2007, 03:26 PM
yeah terrey hills dust sucks. i gotta ton of surface rust on bolts just from living near the ocean i suppose. front axle bolt and stem bolts mainly, plus i got my brake pads off my mate who leaves his bike outside all the time. When i feel like moneybags i'll get titanium axle bolts to fix that!

hubbie
25-02-2007, 01:41 PM
ordering white fit flow hilites from work tomorrow, if they are in stock. Also should be buying a new front wheel second hand, end of this week(ish). It's a 7KA on Ody Vandero. Most likely take apart and re-lace 7ka with white Primo forged to my current hub, cos i really like it, and rebuild the vandero to my Sun Street lite as a spare. I'm also probably buying a mates 11t LHD Odyssey Hazard rear wheel, which has a white 4pt star laced into either side, and a 31t sprocket of some sort isnt far off either
future rear wheel i'll build when my current wheel stuffs out or the hazard does will be an 11t profile SS mini 36H LHD or equal Shadow rant to chrome 7ka
and i've got all the gear to raw my frame, i just need to find time my boss can carefully take my BB out

TJ sumed it up. Sunday bars have lifetime warranty against cracks, but if you bend them they arent covered
You really are an idiot, it's a lifetime warrenty against MANUFACTURER DEFECTS
So when you snap the frame from being a hack you won't get shit. It's a trails frame.
yes i know its a trails frame....
my LBS told me i should be able to get it warrentied if anything goes wrong. and i'd trust their word more than yours. and if you read the warrenty card, it saying you only wont get anything if you bend it. never mentions cracking

frames will crack in different areas. If you use them for different riding styles and put stress on different areas.

autosol metal polish and a big furry polishing wheel. unfortunately i didn't have a proper buffing wheel. i also used a fair bit of sand paper to smoothen and shine

So i went to take some rad shots maaaan, and turns out Dad took the family camera to Cali & LV, and my sisters camera is stuffed, so i had to settle for the bloody camera phone, which kinda looks shizzat, but it's fully built, so i'm happy, and you get the idea. better photos will come when i've got the camera back.
Looks kinda odd with all raw parts, but white bars coming soon, and me and the boss are gonna completely rebuild it again soon, so i'll paint the forks black and get fake sunday stickers for it (lolz just kidding), and i somehow bent my tektro's which i painted white, so i'm getting evolvers off my boss, or mebe Evo 2's depending if i want to pay more for em.

I've had my bmx for nearly two months. coming from a 'street' mtb, i cant explain how much more suited a bmx is to the type of riding i do.
some updated photos. not much has changed except im running 1 and a half grips on each side so they are heaps long, and my axles were trimmed down.
few parts will change over the next month or so. mainly cosmetic things and some different tyres for winter. would love to update the crank because my ankles take a beating on the big tufneck arms, but i cant justify it just yet since im saving for other things like snow trips.

I like them. Have had Demolition Pedals, and Snafus berfore. Compared to them I prefer those plastik ones.
Trailstar, that is sick. Tw q's:
1. Why do you rip the foam etc off your seat
2. How do you do it

Havent you seen some newer bmx videos ( eg Lotek Vancouver (http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-4980440063615829242&q=lotek), or fitlife (http://http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=7355875480350544849&q=fitlife+part+2)). Lots of those Westcoast bmxers have those seats :D
Only reason is, it 's trendy and light.
How? Not really hard, just get rid of the cover an the foam. Nothing really to explain.

Nice^, pegless now? And are you still getting the Fly cranks?
yeah, went pegless coz every time i icepicked, the wheel would move because i have no chain tensione (drop outs too small).
i will still get the fly cranks, thats why i painted the tuffnecks, coz i dont care for them. but the cranks will have to wait for a bit. buying a mitsubishi cordia turbo:D (its fast)

Trailst4r my mates running a primo mix with an 8t. His never had problems, it never skips and just runs smooth. Only bad thing about his 8/22 is that his chain hits the chainstay even with a tight chain. But I defently recomend them!

What do you think? It's 11.2 kg (so its gone down 1.1kg). Hopefully under 11 with new front wheel :)
