Got this pup yesterday. It arrived in three different boxes, I assembled it last night so I haven't really had time to fiddle fuck around and adjust shit properly.

Spec list:
Frame: toothpaste Sunday Wave 21"
Fork: Sunday Night
Hedset: FSA
Cranks: Primo Powerbites
Sprocket: Eastern Medusa 25t
Wheel/rear: odyssey hazard lite/tn cassette
Wheel/front: Alex Supra B/Premium sealed front wheel

Seat: Snafu dunbar
Stem: hoffman
Bars: Odyssey Lumberjacks cut down 1/2" each end

Shit I want to change is stem, seat(maybe?), grips are rank, re-paint the bars black again, new seat clamp. Try to go with a toothpaste frame and black componentry theme.
Haven't had a chance to ride it properly. Chain snapped this arvo on me. I'm not too familiar with half-links, I don't think I connected it properly. Busted my knee on stem pretty hard.
Will get better pics later. A check too if ya lucky.
Almost finished .... rim on friday-ish i think, lace it up asap and i'll be ready. Anyone interested, I have a brand new KHE street mac1.5 for sale. It is unused, i bought it as a spare so yeah let me know!
Can't wait to get this rolling I havent ridden for agesss :(

but i havent really found a grip that im down for, so i dont want to be stuck with 100 pairs of grips i dont like.
the subrosa grips i had last time were really good, but my fingers wore holes in them a little quick. ill just keep trying new grips every 3 weeks or so till i find a nice thin, soft and durable grip.
get the mosh eddies, i have had them for a month now and they are going sick, have a feel of them tonight night love

Hey rhys do you reckon you could give me a little bit of feedback on the Macneil Conjoined cranks. Cheers.
Ive had no issues with them at all.
They are nice and stiff and have only come loose once.
I did hear a person in bendigo snapped a pair at the pedal boss when i was up there two weeks ago, but thats the only person ive heard of breaking them.
they are reasonably cheap and are holding up well. I'd probably buy another set if for some reason i needed to. the only things that sucks about them is the little logos littered all over them that you cant remove. it looks childish.

Picked up my Pantera frame today, no pics yet...Its a spanish BB which is a bonus, its 2.65kg according to my scales, I don't really care about weight.
I picked it up from a place called 'Rampfest'. Ive never heard anyone talking about it on here, its AMAZING! Couldn't believe how big the place was and how crazy the stuff they are building is. Here is a pic I stole off their myspace, they had made more progress when I went and they said they hope to be finished mid July.

Not really close to anything good at all, but I predict people will come from far and wide just to ride it, the place is enormous and there is nothing else like it in Australia (according to the guys building it)
havent posted a check in a while, so here..
not many changes at all, just took off hubguard, got some shimano dx pedals (<3), and orange fit sticker.

Thanks Frodo son. To be honest, I haven't been able to spend much time on it. Chain snapped yesterday arvo (I reckon it's because I connected it wrong).
So from what I've felt, super smooth. No creaks and shit, wheels are true and cranks are straight as. Few little adjustments will need to be made like bar positioning and shit.
New seat post clamp, stem, grips and seat (maybe) are gunna be changed in the near future in black.
At first I wasn't real keen on the colour but got it because it could be changed pretty easily and the frame was brand spankers. Now I like the colour, which is quite surprising. I've gotta get me hands on a decent camera because my phone really aint doing it any justice.

Yer, its just west of Footscray, nowhere near Sunbury! If you (chubz) live in Werribee, you should know where tottenham is.
I don't think much riding will be happening for a while, the guy (Adam) said that they are going to put wood underneathe everything there, so there is absolutely no concrete to land on. The foam pit looked up and running, but I think the rest is quite a while off.

Just felt like having harder gearing i suppose. Nah i plan to go like 23:8 in the near future.

whilst on the topic of bmth, oli did a rather funny thing at iktpq. my friend went up to him and asked him to sign her shirt saying "tammy is hot", he then signed it "tammy is hot (not)". she was rather cut, because, similar to most scene girls, she had an oli sykes obseesion.

Speaking of top-loaders, do they offer any advantages over front and bottom loaders? I take it that because all 3 are being produced, neither one is superior to the rest, right?

Speaking of top-loaders, do they offer any advantages over front and bottom loaders? I take it that because all 3 are being produced, neither one is superior to the rest, right?
Funny story that, because top loaders actually do offer quite an advantage over front loaders.
You see it all started in approximately 1995 around August sometime, two blokes, yes, two, were sitting around a small bar table in the middle of sante fe, new mexico. littered around the table was a combination of budweiser, and coors light (somone MUST have been driving). these two blokes (whom I will name as jose, and pascal) are undercover agents in the BMX world, kinda like scouts for NBA and Pro Golf - i.e. they look for good up and coming riders, and in this case, PRODUCTS, and attempt to steal them and label them as their own. Well, jose got the inside scoop on a new stem on the market...
*swigs a gulp of coors* "well pascal, a little birdy told me that a new stem is gonna be sprouting up on the market soon holmes, something called a 'tarploader' or whatever. I dunno?"
pascal let his 3rd bottle of bud down on the table. he knew what jose was talking about. for earlier on that day, he recived a letter via pidgeon messengers (yes they have pigeons in new mexico) stating something about these 'tarploaders' and the advanges they have. the letter was mysteriously signed by 'coyote'.
Pascal leaned in for some beer nuts from the table, and said...
"that little birdy literally did tell me too, and it literally did run into my window on it's way out. i hear these stems are amazing, to say the least".
then, suddenly, briskly, amazingly, outofnowhere sprung a crazed man, who had no teeth, and mumbled "eres uh sampedth cuin" (translates to "theres a stampede coming!), jose and pascal could not understand his jibber jabber, and therefore reacted too late when a large stampede trampled its way through the bar, shattering all but one beer bottle.
How do I know this? You see, I was one of the animals in that stampede, a zebra to be exact, and I was the inspiration for Tom Greens cartoon in 'Freddy got Fingered'. So. there is an advantage, but only jose and pascal know, and therefore we will NOT know. God rest their beloved souls.

Some find them unnecessary, they can give you blisters and don't serve any real purpose - except maybe to make grips easier to slide on (?)
Also looks better without them, and just feels good allround.
I put my grips on with zipties, works great (see ridebmx sites 'how-to's')
i reckon the clear pedals are great!
i dont do much grinding, and ive had them on for about 2 weeks, and they are heaps grippy in the dry, not so much in the wet.
they dont wear down quickly at all compare to the black/white ones.

Gone back to wanting a raw frame when I buy a new one soonish. I'm considering the Subrosa Armada. Any thoughts? criticisms?
So many different frames to choose from, each with little issues. Thought about the Pantera 3, but I think I want 21", and only comes in 20.8". The Campillo comes in 21" but just seems too damn light at 4.3lbs. Plus I don't like Fly's raw. The Mankind Asadi's Raw seems far too bright. Also thought about maybe the Proper TTL v2, but want to see a raw one built up. arrrggghhhh

hey man, unless you like them like that, bars are usually meant to sit on the same angle as your forks. It looks right too. Maybe pull the stickers off the frame and just leave the lumberjack sticker. and yeah as someone has already said, I would do pedals and seat. I had one of those tyres on the back, and it didn't last me very long.
oh and stickers off rims, and tighten your chain

I'm considering the Subrosa Armada. Any thoughts?
armada's are good looking frames, i was seriously considering one before i got my eddie. I think the only real difference between it and the pandora is its lower, has an intergated seatclamp and a downtube gusset. They might have wider tire clearance as well?
Anyway the raw version is sick, so i say go for it.

get a KMC 510HX chain. Twisted pc's? just search, or read through this thread, they have been discussed more times than there are fish in the sea. I think they're great personally, and as for a seat, go a slim pivotal (macneil, kink, animal, duo, federal, it doesn't matter). and most colours look good with white.

While I ten to agree with Hubbie I like my bars back a little. Harry (lemonslut) was giving me shit about it but that's what I find works for me. Take some allen keys with you next time you ride and adjust everything like seat height/angle, bar distance etc etc.

Yep listen to Hubbie. I had a half link chain but got the shits with it and bought a KMC 510HX. I'm yet to run Twisted pc's (although I got two sets) but only good things are said about them. Seat is all personal preference with looks coming first as not alot of time is really spent sitting on it as such.

I had a raw bike for most of last year, and loved it, I just got sick of the low rust prevention from using aerosol clearcoat. And I didn't really like my particular frame raw.
And bill, I don't really like the Rebel contender's look, and I really want a 75deg headtube. I'm real picky. Do you not like the Armada particularly? (honest opinion).
