22-07-2008, 08:14 AM
i think pivotal is the greatest because i once had the aitken seat and bent the rails after a month or two of riding,

and now ive had a pivotal for over 8 months and its the best theres nothing wrong with it.

22-07-2008, 10:46 AM
and what do you really not like about pivotal seats?

I haven't found a pivotal seat that I really like the look of yet. the kink one is so far the best, but its nowhere near a large number of railed seats. Railed's give more adjust-ability if you so wish, though I can see the appeal of a pivotal for weight and simplicity. meh, i'm not changing my fly fino any time soon.

I also have 2 KHE mac 1.5 streets for sale, one brand new, one used but plenty of life left in it. PM if your interested.

All done in CameraRAW in photoshop.

Or an actual profile front guard
http://www.danscomp.com/512044.php?cat=PARTS

Most guards will work with most hubs though, they usually just thread onto the axle replacing the original cone nuts and stuff.

Check out all the ones on danscomp, most say either what hubs it fits, or something like "will fit any hub with flange diameter of..." yada yada yada

ive broken my rear rim and ive found its actualy going to be cheaper to order a complete rear wheel rather than simply replacing the rim so i was wondering if any1 knows a good setup, i was thinking of going with a freecoaster since i was willing to spend up to around $200 and ive found that there are several freecoaster set ups out there in that price range (complete wheel with free coaster hub that is)

cammeray on ernest street on cammeray golf course next to the tennis courts. I have been twice once We didn't even bother walking in, there was no chance of a run, and the 2nd time we got about 4 runs in 2hrs.Pretty bad set out for bikes, you have to go round it in a circuit to ride all the good stuff. There is a sick wall ride to bank for right foot forward people. I'm going to go back in a few months when it calms down or might try a school day but most the skaters just skate there all day everyday.

I rode this park with my Bro last night for about 20mins. It's pretty much a street set up. Heaps of boxs to grind but not much else. It was pretty crowded with skaters too. I had a shit ride. It was getting really dark and starting to rain.

Would love to get it empty and work out all the good lines.

Oh yeah..... The floor of the park is made out of this super hard smooth rubber shit. It's really odd. It's super quick but has a bit of give in it. I've never seen that before.

They're a friggin waste of dollars. I have the shadow conspiracy and Snafu versions and they're both shit. Light as fuck but shit.

If only I knew about Plegs before I got them.

The only reason why I got them is because I was getting really unbalanced with standard stockie chro-mo pegs.

Do not touch them unless you desperately, desperately hate plegs.

Snafu Ti Pegs are $120 a pair, shadow are around $150.

Doing lots of painting on my brakeless bike today. Frame Forks and bars, all matte black. I now have everything but a seat combo sourced. I'll use my two current wheels from the subrosa on my brakeless bike, so no more purple rims. I didn't really want any white on it to start with, but i already have white odyssey pc's and white spokes on the wheels, so chances are i'll leave them that way for now. Therefore, I may use my black/white macneil seat on the brakeless and get a federal or kink or new macneil for the subrosa. I'm excited.

Looks amzing suG!!!!! .. love the chrome crank with orange pedals I may steal that idea ;) longer frames are useless for street IMO (for your size anyway) shorter/average one gives more control and twitchiness, spinnable, nose/ manuals. longer TT for trails and park rats to do cans etc and for stability. I wish the 20.6 luna had the same rear and HT angle as the 20.4 though.

On topic. I put my KHE back on, cleaned my BB, driver and filthy filthy chain (15 petrol rinses!!!) and put a few more stickers on. I rode city for the first time in months the other day cus of sickness, lets just say im SLIGHTLY out of touch :D

FYI: my fly lasted me ages, and I got it second hand. my mate who had it before me called it a slut frame cause so many people used and thrashed it riding street. its still 100% fine aside from a TT dent that originated from a handrail smash!! there havent been any cracked lunas or tierras that i am aware of, nor campillos. hmm. next frame definetely a fly again!

yeh im keen to just try it out but i don't wanna go and shell out like $60 if i don't really like it. I suppose i could always just have it as a back up for the front tyre when it dies though...

probably ordering my wheels tomorrow (proper ceramic hubs and purple rims). Photoshopped it up to suss out how it looks. I think it looks over the top, photoshopped, and the colours are probably off, but would look more subtle in real life. Also did it with black bars and forks, which I'd consider one day. It's not hard to change rims later on, if I don't like it, but I hate to be a time and money waster.

I need peoples opinion whether the purple rims are too over the top. It could look awesome or a bit too ravey.

Purple Levers also?

30-07-2008, 04:30 PM
Colony levers are annoying and expensive. want to keep the purple to the rims and stem now. So many importers seem useless with stock, and Profile suck with knowing what they'll even ship out. Purple profile stem just didn't turn up. importer doesn't even know Fit DL stems ever came in purple. Think i'll wait till next shipment and hope profile stem comes.

I know you don't want to order off the net but see if you can just get in with someone elses order off dans and get a profile or fit dlr and chip in like $5-10 for shipping...
On another note I think the purple rims and black bars/forks looks dope

Very nice, and in response to ya colour crisis, I say raw the bars, forks and cranks, allowing the purple rims to be the 'feature' of the bike, if you will.

not sure if i trust the idea of ceramic bushings.

With absolutely no experience in either of these hubs my opinion may not be valid, but so far I have heard of no one having any sort of trouble with the Proper ceramic bearing hubs. There have been a few instances of shadow hubs, particularily the axles being a bit soft, but those riders were hacks with pegs.

Ever Consider Wethepeople supreme hubs? Had a ride on one the other day and couldn't believe how much better they are than Odyssey V2's.

shadows are nice
only problem with mine is that it has wobble
which isn't much of a problem no noise etc.

about 5 dudes run the wethepeople supremes at my local
they have had not one problems with the hubs so far.

one guy runs the proper,
you have to take some washer out of them or they seize up apparently.

i have also heard alot of bad shit about rant axles snapping and bending and the cones stripping out.

above bike looks pretty slick, but do something about that seat, your gonna get raped by it.

in other news, i have lost 10 scene points by fixing my brake and putting it back on and increasing my seat height to 1 inch above slammed position...im even thinking of maybe cutting my bars a bit.:(
