ODYSSEY TWISTED PC - MY REVIEW
I originally got the PC's as i HATED..i mean HATED my JC's. I wanted a well priced pedal that had a nice large platform, was well grippy and would take a heap of pedal grinds. After looking on dans i figured the PC's would be alright if i got a few pairs of them, thinking they'd wear quite quickly since they are made of plastic. If they didnt work out, i hadnt really lost as i got them at 11USD a set.
First impressions - They gripped better than my JC's, but still had the same large platform feel. They arent ultra grippy like my DMR V8's on my mountain bike were, but that was a little too much grip.
The first week or so of pedal grinds wore through the plastic pins like hot knife to a block of butter and i figured theyd be good for a month due to the amount of initial wear. From the beginning they showed no signs of flexing, or the plastic body cracking under the pressure of my size 13s. The spindle and bearings seemed to be holding up well.
Long term - The wear from pedal grinds seemed to reduce the more i grinded them as the body itself doesnt wear as quick as the pins initially. Spindle and body are holding up well. no bends in teh spendle or cracks in the body. the bearings could probably do with a bit of a service or tighten, but im not going to do that to a 15dollar pedal, ill just throw another set on.
the pins that arent being grinded on pedal grinds are still holding up well with very little wear.
negatives - they suck when ANY water is involved, so if you ride trails or in the rain i wouldnt get them.
summary - they are a cheap pedal, no doubt about it, which is either a plus or negative depending on how you see it. i thionk its great as my pedals take a real beating, so i would be worried about spending $150 on rubens every six months. I like them and will probably keep running my same pair for another few months as they are holding up alot better than first thought.
if that makes no sense, ask me some questions, but i hope ive covered everything.

Go out and get a job dude. You're always saying how you have no money but think it'll come to you through some otherworldy force..
Working isn't that hard, and when you get older you're going to have to do it anyway, so why not get a bit of heads up on jobs you do or don't like, the type of boss you would or wouldn't want to have, and whether or not you will infact be "livin' on the streets pissing us off with your begging"..

I should hope it rode the same..... The federal is using all of the KHE reverse internals... axel and all.... just a different shell. I had a go on Belles bike with the (I think) KHE freecoaster, and I don't think I could EVER use one. I found it super hard to ride with such a big gap (his was set to the biggest) and the freecoaster just feels pretty dodgy. I know it opens up a whole new element of riding, but it feels really bad. This is all just personal prefference, though..

Im realy interested in the whole f/c deal. Im thinking of ordering a reverse of strictly and building it to a rhino lite. I have been running chain-less for a while, however scootering everywhere sucks. Do you reckon i should go with it?

Why did you sell your coaster? Sick of not back pedaling or maintainence issues?

easy place to start is the Fit completes. They have every thing from a few hundred to post 1000. I'd be looking at the Flow ones, choice would be depending on riding style. highly recommend their flow park though.

That looks way nice Rhys.
I'm really enjoying my bike, the chain tension isn't that bad, a new sprocket is a future upgrade, but my bike works fine at the moment. When I get a new chainbreaker I'm going to take the chain off my mountain bike (KMC Kool chain) and put it on my BMX. I haven't really had any problems, and I'm really loving my bike, definitely not regretting making the switch to BMX :D

id say no.. give it a little while ago (maybe 3-4 years).. big chunky sits, tilted up to the sky were the fashion... it helps with the pinching it while you do bar spins... not really my cup of tea. if i want something rammed up my arse, i go to a seedy car park in st.kilda.

Empire. Ah I am very sneeky, see. 2 orders, both to the total of less than $1000 AUD incl. postage. oui oui.
I dunno, I HOPE not to be hit with customs, but who knows what those cunts will do, maybe plant 5kgs of pot in the box or something.

ywh hopefully will have a weight this weekend when i get my new forks khe tyres and sproket and stuff im hoping for 9.5 ish
A lot of people will probably disagree with me here, but why would you want or need your bike to be that light?
Wouldnt it feel pretty unko to air etc?
My bike is a tad over 11kg and I honestly wouldn't want my bike undert high 10's..

You wouldn't die you would get used to it, but by the time you spend all the money on lighter parts and stuff you will probably be to tired to ride it after that anyway, sub 10kg is a fair effort, but it is do-able. Eg:
-profile race cranks with ti everything, spindle, bolts etc.
-khe premium park tires, run them tubeless
-profile mini cassette hub with ti everything laced to rhyno lite xlt rim drilled out with ti spokes
-profile mini front hub with ti everything laced to ryno lite xlt rim drilled out with ti spokes
-s&m pitchfork xlt 10mm cut steerer tube, run no compression cap.
here are just some ways you can drastically reduce the weight of a bike but the cost involved is just ridiculus.
The above parts would cost over $1000 dollars.
Yeah.

-profile cranks with ti everything, spindle, bolts etc. demolition cranks are around 3oz lighter, plus you can put ti bolts in them.
-khe premium park tires, run them tubeless
-profile mini cassette hub with ti everything laced to rhyno lite xlt rim drilled out with ti spokes or run demolitin hub, it is lighter then a profile ti even though it has chromo everything
-profile mini front hub with ti everything laced to ryno lite xlt rim drilled out with ti spokes or run demolition hub on primo rim drilled even lighter
-s&m pitchfork xlt 10mm cut steerer tube, run no compression cap. or run dk forks 5 oz lighter
Yeah.
thats weight whore to the max.

hey alexnpj good to hear that rays is doing well and could get all the parts for you. How much were the wombolts? I get most of my stuff from ride...
A question why did you go the 180mm crank arms instead of 175? I wouldda thought they'd be getting in the way at times...not that i'm ragging just wanted to know... cheers dude hopefully see you round sometime. i tend to ride a little out at brighton and claremont EC is too busy...

should prob keep this stuff to Pm's but, I live in launie but go to ec alot, I got 180 cause i had 170 profiles and wanted a change, 1 cm is that much really, mainly just to be differnt and learn from experience, I got my cranks from www.danscomp.com
1cm is a huge difference to me. i ride 165mm for street, when you 180 shit and land awkward and pull out and some stupid angle, you pedal doesnt hit the ground making you flip off. and yes, i do have that happen with 175s

Wierd thing is I can very comfortably ride lances and zacs 20.75s, even rode old mates 20.5 eastern the other day quite easily, too.
