But how do we know to go to page 142 and go to the fourth post from the top to see the update that the person has done to the bike? I agree that sometimes little things may not seem worthy of an update, but then again i enjoy just seeing the same bike from different angles! Maybe thats just me. I say if you update you may as well just put up more pics, whats the harm.

Farkin rules of post your bmx;

-McNeil SL seats are in, anything else and you're nothing
-Matte Black, not Gloss Black
-No red frames or forks
-No doodling on bikes
-No updates unless you get a new frame
-If your name is leitch and you wrote something, you must be right because you're fucking awesome
-Plastic pedals all the way, fuck yo $70 pedals

Second is an Eastern Element frame (soon to be upgraded to a Light my fire frame) currently built up with Purple profile hubs on 7ka rims with white spokes, Wombolt crankset, 23t shadow sprocket, fly brakes, animal pedals, sunday bars, Shadow stem/post/seat. Which we've used as a shop bike for a few rides. It is going for $2000. Retail price is well over 3 grand. feels awesome !

Yeah the shell is so so the geisha is a much more aesthetically pleasing shell, but i like the functionality of the reverse shell. I was putting the elementary stem on and broke the bolt that clamps the stem the fork from the top so i gotta wait till tomorrow before i give the reverse a good work out! :)

Can u explain how the shell is more functional than the geisha?

whodoyouthinkyouare?
06-10-2007, 07:15 AM
Sorry, i didn't mean to say it was more functional, just that it looks more functional a bit more cleaner lines more even rather than offset like the geisha on the drive side.
I would guess though that the reverse has smaller bearings in it because they have managed to sort out the loads alot better and dont need the bigger bearings that the geisha has. That probably attributed to the clean looks :)
Maybe too the drive side is smaller as well because it has those ridges on it to add extra re-inforcement where as the geisha has a tapered shell to give it its strength, big at the heavy work end and smaller at the less heavy work end....:D

Well had a quick raz on the bike and WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't have a freecoaster go out and get one. Yes it takes a little getting used to but once you nail it and are comfortable going backwards things start to flow alot more and you open up a whole new realm of things!
50/10!
Also the elementary stem is tight out of the way and the bike just feels so much more manoeuverable and chuckable with it on. :) 10/10

But if you drilled out your rims, You would lose some rotating weight, Which would make the wheels roll faster. Yeah?

Yes, but will it be NOTICEABLE, that is the question.

If you are at a level of riding and/or feel that you will notice the weight reduction from drilling, and that weight is holding you back, then good on you.

Got Some New Tyres, and grips

Odyssey Path Tyre (F)
Maxxis Miracle (R)
Shadow Conspiracy Krafton

i like a bit of grip on the front,

i wouldnt recommend buying WeThePeople Rhombus Grips, if your hands sweat while riding, they become pretty useless.

But aren't you griding the shit out of your sprocket with having the pegs on the left side? aren't you supposed to have them on the opposite side

Either way I know it all comes down to which side you're most comfortable, just like spinning 180/360 or barspins, all comes down to personal preference. :o

No, this just comes down to Drew being a retard and not thinking to ask anyone who already had a BMX what side he would naturally grind on.

Because everyone else is gonna know what side I naturally grind on, what if i'm like leitch and am all messed up, or like, for example, a-ross who rides left foot foward but grinds on the right (have seen a whole bunch of people like that, chocolate footed or some shit). even riding a couple bmx's before right hand seemed good. but it doesn't really matter i don't care i havnt bent my sprocket so shut up.

anyone can ride brakes or brakeless.
It's more like, a right handed person writing with their left hand. If you haven't ever ridden a bike, chances are your not going to be very one sided

What is the normal side to grind on. I thought it was normally the side with you back foot. Eg left foot forward = grind on the right.

stpFREEEK
11-10-2007, 10:59 PM
there is no "correct" side, its all personal preference

Im officially the wierdest rider (apart from my personallity "complete spaz")
i ride:
left foot forwards
grind on the right
spin to the right
whip, back end to the left
table to the right,
hip to the right

I WIN!:p
