I was just wondering how u have your brakes setup on your bmx's. I am currently running a straight cable to the back and a front brake..

tell us what you are running and if you like it!

Matt.

yo yo , you guys have it all wrong!
back brakes arent the bomb. its front or none!
hehehehehe! if you case and your bach wheel buckles so much it bumbs your frame on the way around...
at least in my situation.. front flip fever.
yes....front brake lever, right hand, 60 odd cms of cable to front brake.
simple!:)

i dont get it? why do you need 60cms of brake cable to the front? you just run it through the headset, its not like a straight cable for the back. i honestly hope that you are joking, because you would have to be the first person i have heard of only having a front brake, let alone have 60cm's of brake cable going to it.

if you are talking about v-brakes then yes i have seen a couple of mtb hardtail frames that have v-brake mounts on the frame so i guess that classifies as running bmx brakes on an mtb but im not sure whether they need to be a certian type of v-brake

You cannot run U-brakes on most mtb's as they do not have U-brake mounts: They either have V-brake posts or a disc mount.
Many mtb frames these days do not have brake posts anyway, only disc mounts.
The only mtb frame I can think of compatible with U-brakes is a Geekhouse, and they are kinda rare.

I don't think the latest Geekhouse frame has u-brake mounts. (I assume an older model did). Very nice bike by the way! Retails for $500 US.. Does anybody in Australia import them?
