In Melbourne over newyears

Well my parents are making me come to melbourne over the newyears period from the 27th december to the 5th of january.

So I was looking for some guys around my age (Ill be 16) to go riding with while I'm down there and hangout on NewYears ( I couldn't bear spending Newyears eve with my parents:( ). I ride park and dj and my bike looks like this (http://forums.farkin.net/showthread.php?t=66130). I will be staying in a hotel or something in the suburb of Prahran( I have no idea where that is:p :o ). Anyway, I know it only october and NY is a little bit away but I just want to be prepeared and have some numbers for when i get there so i can use the best of the situation and hopefully get some good footage. Also what is the riding like around the area of Prahran?

Yea prahran is pretty good actually the location! you close to winsor good DJ like 5 min ride and there is always prahran skate park.

prahan = nice area.. not promoteing underage drinking but get your self an ID.. and hit up the pubs/clubs in the area, for New eyars.. they should go alright.


but on the side of riding.. windsor DJ's are fairly close by.. prahan has its own skatepark., its about 15 minute train trip into city (not even).

im sure some people on here will help you out.. maybe hit up melboureriders.com ...

Hey Fella,

I live in Prahran. I generally do trials riding near the skate park or XC on the Yarra River nearby. I don't know of any DJ spots though (?). That rig is unreal.

Prahran is inner city, south of the river, so you've got shiteloads of decent street and skatepark stuff. Yer best bet is to use Chapel St as some sort of datum or navigational point if you will. Just off the south end of Chapel St beside Windsor Station (bout 5 min ride from Pr-aan) you've got the Windsor DJ's. If you ride North up Chapel (say 15 min ride?) you'll hit the Yarra, turn left and you'll come across riverside skatepark. Ride along the river and you've got the whole southbank crown casino complex which is popular with trials lads and those who just like to and cruise along having a perv.

Chapel St (and most the streets that run off it) is packed with pubs and clubs. You've got everything from the likes of Frostbites and Strike bowling(cheesy underager joints) to 161 (Don't even dream of getting in...) As for Prahran itself? Choose your bars carefully! There's a lot of freaky shit that goes on in that neighbourhood!
