We here at SMBP are running a ride day @ Barjarg on Sunday the 29th of October. There are very limited spots and it will be first in first served. This will be pre-pay only and will cost will be $40 for the full day of runs.
We will be running a BBQ lunch and will have drinks all at very reasonable prices.
The only catch is there is not many spots. We will cut it off once the trailer is full. So, to book your spot all you have to do is send us an email and let us know that you want to come. We will then send you a confirmation email to let you know that a spot is booked for you and let you know how to make the payment. Easy as that. The email is info@smbp.com.au
We will NOT be accepting any entries on the day.

Sorry, But with the amount of racing in Vic this summer we are running very short on spare weekends. Im sure that there will be more ride days over the summer.

There are 2 full race ready tracks that will be open for the ride day. They are both in fine form too.. There is a third track that is currently my secret little work in progress. This one wont be open for riding though.

There is plenty of Victorians who cant afford to go to all the National rounds interstate, or take several days off work to do each one. I wanted to go to Lithgow myself but im going to Tassie and Thredbo and possibly Beauty and my boss wont give me days off, so i guess its a good option if your from Victoria and you want somewhere else to ride.
I think Sams idea of having it this weekend is a good one, and like he said there WILL be other ride days and events up there. Plus you can ride there if you come to the next build day up there....... when ever that is.......
Sounds good, But im new to the downhill scene and i just picked up a new downhill bike cheap. Im wondering how is barjarg for a begginer wanting to learn!

yeah dr smooth there is two tracks there. The race track which is super tech but has many easier lines around the hard stuff, and there is also the flowy track which is alot easier and aimed at riders just like you. Lots of fun flowy sections. The last few ride days some begginers struggled as the race track was all there was but now theres something for every one. Id head up if you can.
Ahh fuckin. I'd be there for sure if I didn't have about a billion other things on around then :(

How many members do we have?? Well, we always need more (big thanks to all the supporters that have joined with us so far). Its seems that most people are happy buying day licences at every event that they goto instead of getting a yearly one. Im guessing thats because in the past Victoria hasn't had enough races to make it worth while to pay for a yearly... But that has all changed now with the State series this summer. There are going to be so many events in Victoria its not funny from State rounds to ride days. If you have held of getting a license now is the time to sign up to a for one. This summer is looking like the busiest summer of riding Victoria has ever seen.

Yeah, sounds good sammy. Can't make this one, exams and shite wayyyy too close, but once I'm walking/riding again, and uni is over, and I go more than 2 days without breaking myself, I'll be up for the next ride/race at the farm.

Fast, steep, WIDE OPEN (lots and lots of line choices in most spots), rocky. Never a dull moment, it's one of the best tracks around for sure.

and even if your not its still fun!
but on the race track if ya go to slow wit to much brake there are sections that will eat ya .No?
benmwatkins

If you go too slow in some of the rock sections, you may stall or come to a stop, but thats only if you go down the track without having a look and work it out as you go. there are over fifty different line choices from top to bottom so there is a line in every tech section that you could ride. On your first run, when you get to a tech section, drop your bike off to the side of the track, work out where you want to go or watch some guys go past, then have a crack. If your worried about lines or tech sections or getting down the track one of us can guide you down on your first run and show you all the easy lines, then you can progress from there.
I say show up and you'll never regret it. if you need riding help on the day, theres tons of us that will help you out mate.
(actually sam is good at riding slow maybe he can help you ha ha ha sammy ;)

It's full now... Sorry to those that missed out. You will just have to wait until the next one.
For those that are coming the weather forecast is fine, sunny and 24 degrees. The track will be in prime condition as it looks like it had a little rain during the week. Don't forget to put your clocks one hour forward tonight for daylight savings. There will be food and drinks available. Runs will start at roughly 9/9:30am and will run untill around 4:30pm.
I will see you all there!
