Has anyone got a GT IDXC 1.0 from 2005. I'm considering this frame as an upgrade, I can pick one up for $900 including the rear shock (Fox float RP3). The frame dimensions on GT's website make the bike sound quite small, I'm looking at a medium, I'm 180cm.

I wouldn't mind knowing what frame sizes people have and how tall they are. Its a bit hard to make a decision when I can't go and sit on one.

Any other comments on the frame will also be helpful.

just compare the sizing/geometry to your current setup (if its good for you) and go from there.
Is it new ?

Im 175cm, and the medium suited well.

Awesome xc/trail frame had a ball on it......

I'm about 180cm, and I have a medium (bike, that is people, mind out of the gutter now....). I think it fits well, although I did end up putting a Thomson laid seat post on after about 18 months.
It's a really good bike to ride, and I think they fixed the cracking problem for the 2005 model (although I'm not 100% sure about that), so I say go for it!
Although it does really depend on what you're used to, my brother is the same height as me, but he rides a large Genius. I think his bike's a wee bit big, he thinks mine may be a tiny bit small. I think a main factor in choosing a medium for me was the extra standover height.

Honestly dude, these bikes of this year model look great on paper and in an un-ridden state, but your in for a world of maintainance regime and like a friend of mine, a cracked-up, "separating" ride, that could of REALLY hurt.
