Tell me I'm not being unreasonable.

OK, about a month and a half ago I bought an 8 foot long fish tank, simply because it was incredibly cheap ($260, with a stand, stained hood, fluros and brand new filter).

So I gave my uncle a call, who has a 2 storey house, so it would be easy to store under there until I resold it. I asked if I could store it under there, and he said yeah, there's heap of room. So we get it delivered there, and stick it off to the side, out of the way of everything.

As most know, I had a nasty crash the next week and wasn't in the position to organise getting it into the Trading Post.

I finally did last week, and got a call straight away about it. I had $600 on it. So I gave the guy my uncles address and sent my dad around so he could be there when this guy checks it out. Remember, this was a few hours after the Trading Post was released. Dad sells it to this guy for $500, without consulting me first.

So I'm pretty pissed off, but deal with it because I made pretty good money on it.

Now Dad comes home, I ask him for my $500. He hands me $480, so obviously I ask where the other $20 is. He says he is going to buy my uncle a cask of port (classy, eh?) for letting me keep it there. I was like "What the fuck for? He owes me favours like crazy". He still has my $250 Dremel that I loaned him at the start of the year. I baby sat his retarded fucking dog. I'm constantly selling motorbike stuff on the 'net for him etc. He tries to give me some talk about being reasonable, but I interupted and said if he didn't give me my money (He had snatched the $480 back) I'd slash both their tires. Haha, that part was pretty lame.

But yeah, am I unreasonable in being pissed of at been ripped of $120?

Well you do have a right to be pissed off about him not consulting you when its about your money i recon, and its up to you whether you think your uncle deserves something for the storage (completely your choice).
I dont have much of a tempre so i get worked up about little things easily.

Edit: sorry i forgot about the fact that he took the money off of you, its your money so id say the old "taking back whats mine" should come into the equation" take back the 500 if he gets worked up about it tell him to get rooted and he still owes you another 100 so he shuld feel lucky.

I'm with Wombat on this one. You are being a bit unreasonable. I wasn't there, so i can't make a REALLY accurate response on this, but it sounds very "rebel without a cause" to me. You sold it for much more then it was worth, you Dad wanted to give your uncle a kind gesture to say thanks, granted without your permission, but it IS a nice gesture. As for selling it cheaper without consulting you, i'm not sure what to say. Does he do this often? Or are you just being greedy? I mean come on man, you DID make a profit. And everyone WAS helping you sell what you wanted to sell. Don't you think it would be ok to let it slide? Oh, and just so you don't get all shitty, i'm NOT calling you greedy! :D

imo dickyknee's got the right idea. and you are definitely whineing (or however you spell it!!). You never get the amount that you put in the trading post anyway so you cant complain with 500 (and dont say its worth more cause remember you only paid 260 for it!!) $20 commission who really cares?? seriously!! but if you do care just do what dickyknee said and scam it back off him when you do something for him next. As to the dremel --- have you even asked for it back, hes probably just forgotten about it. Stop being such a stinge!!!
