View Full Version : I need a mobile phone NOW.
This has just not been my week... and to top it off my mobile fell out of my pocket in the city (Melb) this morning. Was hoping some nice person would answer it when I called later and tell me how to get it back off them, but nope... it's gone and probably sold in some pub already. FAAARRRRRRRRK!
So... if anyone has an 8310 they want to sell (needs to be that one to match my car kit - FAAAARRRRRRRRRRK!) or anything else of reasonable quality (small phone but with a big screen and bright white light for my old eyes please) then some cash is waiting for you.
Call me on 0438 31....... FAAAARRRRRRRK! Better yet phone (03) 94371954 or email on mail@gripsport.com.au Same contact details if you see some FAAAARRRRRRRK trying to use (I've blocked it) or sell my very little phone with the clear vinyl cover around Birrarung Marr (Flinders Street)
Not really expecting any help... just pissed and needing to whinge.

I got rid of my spare phone last week... Sorry dude.
i have a motorolla v8088+ just lying around. i am too lazy to take it to the shop to sell it. its not a nokia but its small and i've never had a problem with it. but if i was you i'd probably try and get another 8310, just to save hassle with the car kit!
pm me if ur interested!

Get one off ebay, can pick up an 8310 for about $200 i'd say

I had a Motorola V8088+ for a while... good phone.
The message functionality is a bit strange but as an actual phone it was the bomb.

m8, sounds like you need a nokia 5100. colour screen, polyphonics, inteernet, mms, and it is shock, dust and water resistant. ive got one and they kick. but the trick is to buy it from dick smith, why??? because they are 450 bucks compared to the nokia store's $700.
I have broken/lost a...
Nokia 5110 (B)
Nokia 3210 (L)
Nokia 3310 (L)
Nokia 3330 (B)
Nokia 3315 (B/L)
And i am now i am using a Motorolla C350 light compact and very good it fits in a little pocket great.
But back to the subject of Grip phone its a bitch huh? *hugs* :D

I mangled a Nokia 8210....the second spin cycle in the washing machine was the trick.
Nothing like pulling your shorts out of the machine and having bits of phone fall out of them... ;-(

i recon you should go onto a plan... i got a 6610 for $0 and $30 a month...they dont really have a big screen but they are bright and the numbers and symbols are all oversized so you would be able to read them...colour phone, polyphonic ringtones, mms and cool games make it a sick phone
p.s. with the $30 a month you get $30 of credit then you pay extra for whatever you use
Guys... really appreciate all the suggestions. Thanks. I use the phone for work so much I've always been on around $100 plan anyway but never contracted cause I owned the phone outright.
When I talked to Telstra shop and they checked my records they nearly tripped over their own dangly bits with offers!
Ended up on a $70 plan that actually gives me cheaper calls then I was getting anyway... a free 6100 ... and a free X-box that I immediately swapped for a genuine Nokia in-car kit!
All problems solved and money saved! Thank you to the turd who stole my phone!!!!!!!
By the way, did you know that if your phone is pinched you can have the actual handset locked so NO sim card will work in it at all?

no... im saying you need to pay $30 each month and you get 30 of credit that you dont need to pay extra for...then you can spend more and it goes ontop of the 30 on your bill....if you dont use $30 of calls it goes over into the next month
