Dirt Jumps in the Pittwater Vicinity

I was talking with a fellow rider the other day about the lack of decent dirt jumps within the Pittwater area (Mona Vale, Newport, Warriwood). We were temping at the thought of apporaching the Pitty Council about the prospect of building some next to Mona Vale bowl. Theres plenty of unused space there, and the aspect/slope is perfect - run in and slight downhill coast. Would become a pretty sick area - vert half pipe, bowl and DJ's.

Im just putting the idea to everyone here to get some opinions/thoughts - tell me what you think. I know that this has been done in a number of areas around the place with great success.
I realize that getting money from the council is like getting blood from a stone, but im more than willing to see what eventuates.
