Flat rate plans? *SHOCK HORROR* How long did it take them...
Not the best deal in the world, but start renegotiating your plan now!
fark thats good deal, right now i have 3G a month but over that we start paying big time..I dont think i could ever possibly go over 10G...I am convincing parents now
Prices aren't bad, but I still refuse to use a Telstra product no matter what.

Same Here Rik, Same HERE!... Telstra is a rip off, and you sure dont get what you pay for in terms of service, reception or any of that other shite.
I gave up on Telstra when other people could hear your conversations, I mean I ring the g/f on the mobile, and halfway through the convo, two guys start talking bout the condition of this pick-up truck...LIKE WTF!!! This happened almost every night for like two months (different convo's, with different people)...Also they tryed to charge me $387 for an 8minute call that droped out so, this was to a standard mobile too  I though fuck this!!!

Yes flat rate dickhead....
I'mgeting this new thing as well. My dad organised it or somthing. Should be good cause my brother allways gets cut cause we go over the 3gig limit. Sooo funny on my cordless phone you turn it on and call someone then walk up the strett and you can hear other people convos funny as. And the phone goes like 50 houses down the street so you get some interesting convos. Just wish you could say stuff they could hear but you cant. Be so funny to be looking at someone in the phone and hearing them then saying somthing and watching there reaction. :D

first of all, my whole family has had large amounts of telstra shares so there is no chance of us goin with ne other carrier. im on 1gb for 64.95 atm and ridiculous prices if u go over so 10gb for 70 and no extra charges is gonna be sweet as and to the person whingin about it not being flat rate or somin would u use 10gb a month??? no. so the 64kb would rarely b an issue.
anyway in reply to the above... that actually happened from inside my house oneday, my sister was on the cordless sitting on her bed, she leaned over to pick something off the ground and picked up a neighbours conversation from like 3 doors down in a half bent over position and above all things it was quite the interesting conversation :D
oh and the guy who wont use telstra because other ppl can hear u, just curious, cos that does sound hella gay, did it happen with mobile, fixed line or cordless?

thats still kinda expensive when u compare the speed of cable, to get an decent comparison u would be looking at the 1500/256 12gb plan and thats $110 a month
did it happen with mobile, fixed line or cordless?
It's happened to me too, the lines in our area started to go crappy, crosstalk happened on and off for many many months, it wrecked havock with my internet line
Dad just changed our plans from the 3G to 10G. I think its great value, i mean i dont think i will eveer go ovver 10G so the 64k wont be a problem. But then again I never though i would go over our 3G plan when we upgraded from 1G. And even if i do go over 10G it is most likely it wil be at the end of the month so i will just deal with 64k for a few days...its better than getting hit with a huge bill because you went way over the limit and had to pay per meg.
