Umm have you done downhill before? because i dont think that you should be spending this much money if you dont even know what kind of bike you want, go ride a few and find out which one is best for you.

I said i wouldn't need to by another bike again when i bought my last bike. Since then, i've got another, and i'm looking at another one again. Its a disease, but you'll get it if you ever start downhill/freeride.

As the others have said there have been numerous thread on this lately. Have a look at one of them. But you're best off riding some mates bikes and getting a feel for them, then choosing:)

Hang on.. why do you need to know what bike to get right now, when you won't have the money for atleast 10 weeks?

Take your time in choosing a bike - go test ride some, see what you like. Atleast this way you won't rush into it, pick something that looks nice and end up wishing you had have got that other bike a couple of weeks later.

I said I didnt want to buy another bike after my Kona.

Then I kept my hardtail, now im buying a road bike in a few weeks, and a cross country bike next year.

Theres no such thing as a last bike at a young age, and you sound like your about 15.
