ooooh, sooo close now.. Nearly got this baby set up the way I'd like! 2nd Manipoo shock given the boot and replaced with the 07 Fox Van R.. 06 Fox Vanilla RLCs replaced with 06 Fox 36 Van R (:o Originally meant for my Wifes bike but she got the Vanillas instead, sorry Mish!:o) Bought an MRP System 3 to replace the Truvative Dual Guide but when Stewie from Cyclingo tried to remove the Truvativ Husslefelt cranks we found the thread was all stripped out.. so will need new cranks before changing over to the single ring device! Probably just go the Holzafellas... Ah.. wanna upgrade the Hayes 9s as they are getting a tad shagged out now.. probably look at Juicy 5s.. 7s if I can afford them. Wanna throw a lower rise bar on it at some stage and that'll be it.. all done!!

This bike rides a treat on jump trails..!! Feels fun on DH too.. Reasonalby light for what it is.. 13.9kgs.. Oh yeah.. the Minions in the pic I'm holding the bike were only on there for the day.. The Blingblings are my usual rubber choice.. much lighter and rolls HEAPS better!!

im loving it the way it is in the pic. change of brakes and that'd be pretty bloody perfect in my books, oh and new cranks.
nice ride mate.

are you running the same length stroke shock? or is the coil giving you alittle more travel?

Yep Pistol, running Fox's @ 160mm.. Didnt change the geo much.. feels fine! Have seen pics of Brodies on NSMB running 170mm Marz 66s.. I think that may be a tad long.. wouldnt want to go any longer than the Fox tho.. Post up a pic of ya Nemesis! Keen to check it out!

Haha! Dunno bout that Simon, yours is looking pretty sweet.. hmn, maybe my weights out? using the Old Man's Game Fish Scales (one for weighing big ass old Tuna..) but then again I think that's pretty spot on.. There's a fair bit of light stuff ...XO/Thompson/DT etc... will weigh her again now you've sewn the seed of doubt! Mate, the Fox Coil shock feels ton's better than the Manipoo's ever did.. are you still thinking bout the DHX Air?

Hey Swinnie.. I've started digging some new jumps in the Buffer Zone behind the Margate Tip.. if your keen to help or come test 'em out drop me a pm and I'll give you directions!

Haha cheers man. DHX Air will definitely be the next upgrade. Was thinking about getting a coil but I'm pretty damn light and like the flexibility and weight of air. Yeah I think 13.6 sounds about right with the stuff you are running. Maybe my weight was way off as I just used bathroom scales. I'll give her a proper weight-in on some digital scales soon.

Just remember that by running anything over 130mm you can say bye bye to your frame warranty. Not too big a deal as I can't see one of these babies snapping too quickly :p.

Pretty sure it was 13.9.. but could be a little extra either way.. haha! they are fishermans scales and you know how those boys operate! ("It was fricken huge" hahaha!) but then again bathroom scales? I'm pretty sure my Sisters bathroom scales would run under.. think "flattering"! Haha..

as for frame warranty.. willing to risk it eh..its soooo over built and I figured if it was gunna crack or kill the frame, it would have done so by now eh.. ran 170mm triples on my Kona Stuff for 18mths.. consensus was that it'd would crack the head tube.. but jumped the crap outta it and no dramas.. I have faith in the Brodie..!!

Totems are sooo huge looking eh... might spoil the aethetics of the bike?? ah... after seeing John from Cyclingo's "BlingoClingo" Santa Cruz Nomad with 07 DHX Air and 07 Fox36 Talas's I've changed my opinion on air forks/shocks.. A 36 Talas would be sweet on the front of ya Nemesis Pete!

Nice rides!!!

I think the 36 Vans and MRP would give you a stiff front end and a quieter rear than the other setup. Go the coil rear end - it looks like a bike built to be thrashed. That must have a 110% fun factor!
