Well it seems a lot is happening around the bike industry at the moment. First hayes buys manitou now dt swiss buys pace. I think we definitely are coming along a big battle of the conglomerates. Should be very interesting for the future.

WHat do you reckon ?

From Pink bike:

Adrian Carter, the owner and inspiration behind the iconic Pace brand will bring his 20 years of experience into this deal, by acting as technical consultant to DT Swiss in the transition period and for future developments. Pace forks will be integrated into the overall DT Swiss suspension range within the next 6 – 12 months. Pace will continue to manufacture and supply customers with its full fork range during the transition period for the model year 2007.

Pace Cycles Ltd. continues to manufacture and sell frames, clothing and its other products under the Pace brand. The companies have agreed that after the transition period production of forks will be relocated to the DT Swiss factory in Switzerland, after which Pace will become the exclusive UK Distributor of the full range of DT Swiss suspension products as well as continuing its renowned suspension technical, spares and service support in the UK. The parties have agreed confidentiality on the further details of the deal.
