Ok guys I haven't been up there so I can't confirm this as of yet.

Yesterday I was speaking to the property coordinator for BHPB down here and he mentioned to me that he had spent a week at Mt Kembla pulling down all the structures that have been built up there and removing the material.
The Police and NPWS have been informed with instructions to take number plates numbers and prosecute trespassers.
If you do use this area don't expect any of the ramps to be there, don't hurt yourself (and be ready to pay a fine by the sounds of it).

Without wanting the start the whole thing off again the reason he stated for knocking down the structures now after knowing about it for so long was that a bus full of people (He did say where they were from but it's irrelevant) from out of town turned up to use the track while he was there. I don't think they were doing anything wrong apart from being there. A bit unfortunate that it has sparked him into action.

Anyone who has been up there let us know if anything has happened (Lets keep the locals rule out of this one hey boys).

Why did they pull it all down, is it his own private land or is in a national park ?

I really dont know much about the specifics, but im lead to believe BHP Billiton/Bluescope owns half the bloody mountain. The same thing has happened at bulli in the past too.

we rode it the other day not knowing things were wrong on it..... coming around a corner to find 'smash your face in' the kicker to board lander totally gone!

at first we thought it must of been vandalism... then we found the massive logs at the bottom... i think a sign at the top nicely asking noone to ride there woulda been easier..... as we didn't realise anything was wrong untill we noticed some things wrong with the track... kickers across creeks gone... smash ur face in gone.. the MASSIVE LOGS

and i am happy to point out that there was only the 3 of us there :p and i dont consider myself a 'busload of people'.. yes i am 6 foot.. but jees a busload?? :p

so yer this can be your conformation... and could you please talk to the owner of the land and get him to put signs at the top... no use on a DH track only having the blockades at the bottom.. cause well its too late once your down there :)
