That's a bit of an open ended question. I mean you could upgrade the bike out of sight and spend 10 kegs on it but what would be the point?
Sure bling parts are sweet but unless you've broken something already or they're functioning like a POS it can be difficult to tell the difference.
Having said that there's really not too much wrong with it.
1. Perhaps an e13 or similar chain device (I take it you'll be doing DH on it??)
2. Replacing the brakes with Juicy of Shimano when they've had it.
That would be the only immediate things. Perhaps a different crankset down the line if you manage to bend/munt your current ones. A different shock might be an upgrade but spend some time setting up your current one before blaming the thing. The Swingers take a bit to set up but once it's done they are sweet. Go to the Manitou site and d/l the set up instructions etc for it.

Yeh new rims, single tracks have a good reputation for flat spotting real easy, and on a FR bike that isnt good

hey mate,
you should change the following:
1) piss off the single tracks and buy a set of mag 30's
2) selll the hayes and buy juicy 5's or higher
3) new forks, something like travis's or 888rc2x's. but if your on a budget go for 888rc2x's they are around $800 these days and are a great fork.
4) e-13 no matter what
