Looks nice. DHX from the look of it too, hopefully that means they aren't softening them too much.
.:Easily:.

I agree...
The simple lines of the classic bullit are not so simple anymore.
where does it fit? SC loving single pivot diehards?

Apparently, they are increasing the travel, reducing the bob and making the thing lighter. So you will have a climber that you can huck with, i suppose.

Its a quality looking frame - the pedigree really shows. I prefer the vp free.

I bet the production version becomes all fugly, visualise Jackal prototype VS production...
Good to see they have replaced the shitty pivot design.

What do you mean by this?
Well from what i can see, the 'shitty pivot design' is still there.

I'm not talking about the fact its a single pivot, I'm talking about the design of the actual pivot. I was forever tightening the pivot on my old bullit and then the large alloy rod wore out on the ends so I had to space it out otherwise you would tighten it and it was still loose.

It's never happened to mine. Nearly three years old now.

Bahahahaha - maybe you're just rough as guts.:p
Don't get me wrong it was a great bike, had it for over 3 years, did over 85 000 meters of vertical at the bike parks in Canada on it and when I sold it to Grip for parts it had a crack in the headtube and two on the rear triangle.
The pivot on my 223 is a much better design, havent had to touch it since I got it almost a yeat ago.

Sounds cool. It is a bit of an industrial looking pivot.
But geez, going from a Bullit to a filing cabinet?:p
How does the 223 ride compared to the Bullit?

It was a nice transition as they are both single pivot so I didn't have to change my riding style much, most noticeable difference was the 223's cornering stability, its very confortable drifting around corners, most of the time you don't realise your doing it whereas the bullit always felt a bit sketchy because the chainstays are much shorter. The 223 is much more low and long.
I have a 2000 model bullit and the pivot point came loose only once and that is when I pulled it off to clean around the pivot and forgot to use *Loctite* when I did it back up! Did you use *Loctite* jda, after it came loose the first time?
As for the new pivot, is it just me or does it look like bottom bracket external bearing set up?

^^Interesting - how do the two bikes compare in a more freeride environment, such as drops, berms etc?

The Bullit is a much better bike for freeriding, I never pedal my 223 up hills and I always used to pedal up hills on the Bullit or do the ocassional 3-4 hour XC ride.
Its also easier doing slow speed drops and manuals on the Bullit because the chainstays are much shorter the front end is easy to lift, any type of high speed cornering is better on the 223.

Is there any confirmation on the travel for these new models?
As Nebos says, apparently more, but is that confirmed?
How would an 8inch Bullit fit in SC's line-up? New Super-8? Replace VP-Free:p ?

Im not too sure if its confirmed, but i have read it in MBA - they were pretty general with the details - not giving too much up...
