Well people are whining about not finding any new good music similar to what they like.
So I recommend Last.fm
Basically it records your music as you play it and archives it, and allows you to visit artist pages, with links to other similar bands, often with tracks available to play on their page. etc. Great for finding new music, even if you are into very obscure stuff.
For example - I like Goregrind:
'The day everything became nothing' links to 'Bile' links to 'COck and ball Torture' links to 'Hymen Holocaust' etc - all great bands.
Another Example - Cathedral - St Vitus - Electric Wizard - Orange Goblin
get on it, mine is last.fm/user/the_luftwaffle/
PS. I know this would have fit into the other thread but I thought it warranted a new one.
