Illegal City Races (sorry if already discussed)

ive heard a few rumours of illegal city bike races from a friend that works at a bike store. somethign about a race at night around sydney with locals, bike messengers and anyone else who knows the city really well too.
i was just wondering if anyone knew if its legit? im not really interested in jumping in the ring with them because i barely know the city if at all! but its an interesting concept!

hey, just a tip - i don't think anyone is going to reply seriously to anyone who titles their thread "Illegal City Races"

it's sort of like starting a thread titled "does anyone know where I can buy some illegal drugs, and illegally download some illegal software and also can they tell me location of the illegal dirt jumps, and that illegal downhill trail".

i doubt anyone would be silly enough to publicly respond.

if your friend has heard a rumour, then follow it up with your friend, and your friends friend, and try not to start the conversation with your friends friend using the phrase - "hey - do you know where I can find out about the Illegal City Races?"

Yeah, those crazy bike couriers. They happen pretty regularly in both Syd and Melb. Probably another Alley Cat-styled race. Though with that said you guys have just hosted the World Courier Champs so it's probably the last suck of the popper for those still charging from them. These couriers are a strange beast. One of the few races where it'd be considered by some fellow riders to be unsportsmanly starting a race sober as a judge:)

im not too stupid -i'd hope, otherwise i would be posting up details of illegal dj's and dh/fr tracks just so everyone gets a piece of the action! :o

yeh,not best to actually say ILLEGAL,it's just like saying BOMB in or near a plane or goverment building,this is just on a larger scale(having to do with bikes and all :p ). it would be pretty sweet to get it all on head cam,and obviously it would be illegal(i dont wonna be getting all political up in here):cool:
