i know nothing about bones.. but hence the name..does that mean ur foot isn't going to grow any more or is it just a totally irrelevant name for a bone?

hmm well im not sure
it is like this soft spongy half developed bone in your foot and on xray it is the gap in between your heel and the bottom of your leg bone (im not to sure of the long latin names) so i hope it doesnt stop that leg from growing because otherwise ill end up with a 3 inch platform shoe on my left foot

so me askin is just to see what can happen as my doctors pretty useless....

your foot still can grow (depending on surcumstances),i myself also know nothing about bones, but i do know how to break them. i broke my left wrist two years ago and totally demolished my growth, the doctors had fear that my wrist would no longer grow, but it did anyway. i just broke my right wrist 3 weeks ago whilst dj'ing and the doctor told me that i wont be able to ride until 2 weeks into next year (it sucks i know) but even then i wont be doing anything big for another 4 weeks after that.

I totally destroyed the growth plate in my left ankle and doctors said it wouldn't grow anymore, and I'd need further surgery to insert stemcells in to make it grow to its proper length...or something like that.

Over a year later, I am at least 3 inches taller and my legs are still the same length so I'd say that it fixed itself good and is still growing.

Oh, and I broke it on June 11th, and I was back riding by say...mid September, and riding properly by mid November.

yea i cracked the growth plate of my raduis in my right arm at the wrist end and the doctor never told me anything about it not growing anymore but he did say there was a chance of me getting arthritis when im older. now almost a year after it happened i'm still having troubles with it and my doctor said that i may have a ganglion (build up of fluid) in my wrist which causes some pain occasionally, especially if i crash on it.
and just over a week ago i cracked the other end of the radius i broke last year :o and im only going to be off the bike for about 4weeks.

last time i rode a motor bike the blokle told me how to go faster but not how to stop so i was roaring around when suddenly this fence appeared not knowing how to brake i hit it pretty fast.

it did not feel or look good and neither did i for about 5 months afterwards
