im looking for a new dh bike bike now as my stinky deelux got stolen from our house a few days ago  it was chained up with my brothers drop (also stolen) but luckily both bikes were insured. im thinking of the 2004 aline and steering well away from the konas, whats with those frame colours? any sugestions would be good. the inurance broker says the insurance company want a written quote from a bike store as to how much its going to cost for a replacemment without it being "better" i wonder if this means costs more or better parts spec? anyway i can spend up to 5 g's im also looking at the irons horse sgs team as i think i might be able to get this for 5 grand and its looking awesome, mmmmmmm.... dorados  so any thoughts would be helpful. by the way if u see a 2003 stinky deelux with a pile of gaffa tape holding the back tire together (dont ask) stab the guy riding it for me other than that it was pretty much stock apart from a 28-38 t chainring combo with a truvatriv bash guard and about 6 pins mising from the pedals :P

thats exactly what i was gonna do sell the forks and put on 888r's or maybe shivers 888's r better but shivers look sexier :) and maybe an avy shock in time to come as to what you said sam i have nooooooo idea and these ones i actually bothered to lock up too! :? thanks for the input guys im also thinking about a craftworks dhr it has the 888r's and a swinger 6 way so i wouldn't need to upgrade and it also has the adjustable geometry for when i wanna race it but that retails for $5800 so i dunno but the aline looks so mad in all black :) thanks guys

dont get the craftworks! its just my opinion, i really dont like the dhr. well any of the previous models. the 04 doesnt look too bad. what about the kona stab? whats wrong with that paint job? you could always just get it powder coated? herm. what about a few more dollars and get a gt dhi? or the giant dh comp! or most of the specialized bikes.

yeah i got daniels p.3 and i'm luving it, mmmmm road wheels :D the trouble is i cant put anymore in on top of the insurance cause they buy the bike for you. if i could have got cash from this site in america i had it all worked out i could have got a foes the fly frame with floating disk mount for $1800! the 888's for a grand atom labs trail pimps laced to atom labs hubs for 600 bucks hope m4s for 200 bucks an end i basically would have squids bike with 888's :D but i was gonna get it in red. anyway thats not gonna work cause they wont pay me cash o well the alines looking mad

The A-Line is an awsome rig, and as said above, its awsome value, but dont write off the Kona's, they are near indestructable. They will get you from A to B, no matter how steep or rough!!!

hahahahahaha

Go for a patriot 7 if youcan but their about 5500 to 6000. Otherwise go for a A line or a shore. Can you add some money to the insurance money? Cs if you can then another 500 or so would get you an awesome norco ride better than the a line

the Stinky isn't really much of a DH bike, so let's sort this out, what do you want to do with it?

Go the A-line they are the best value for money bike for next year. The new Patriot 7+ will retail bout 6 or a bit more and they arent a lively ride with the 5th element on it that u may want from a "not just a downhill race bike".

most bikes do get you from a to be. it doesnt need to be a kona/

Yeah Dick, try reading the post before shooting your mouth off. I clearly stated the Stab Primo, Kona's downhill rig, is more than awsome down the side of the hills we love so much, and could almost be classed as an economic bike, compared to a patriot 7. No need to get all shitty on one of the top bike brands treking the globe today.

Dude you are acting like a 12 year old, grow up a little.

Sorry to hear about your bikes being stolen.. The A-line looks like a good option, there's room for it to be upgraded if needs be, but I reckon it's fine just the way it is.
