where exactly? I moved down to frankston this year for uni and am always looking for riding buddies. No seat at the moment so a little limited and i don't drive so limited again. My parents are visiting for xmas, but in janurary i'll be looking to do some recon around the area for good riding, particularly arthurs seat.

there is a reserve near to my house where there is a lot of potential, however whatever is built lasts only a few days before its pulled down, so if you're up for a day of building and riding then shoot me a pm and we'll see what we can organise. Sundays work best for me.

shoot me a pm fellas with you're contact details and we can hook something up.

cheers,
owen.

btw i'm mainly fr/dh/dj orientated, but will ride xc if it means getting the cranks turning.

What ever you guys do do not build or ride at Arthurs Seat... The Ranger hate riders it is a no go zone... DO NOT RIDE OR BUILD THERE

I'm also new to the Mornington area and looking for somewhere and someone to ride with. Currently on a GT iDrive 5 and prefer All mountain but also ride DH and a bit of XC (Lysterfield, You Yangs, Mt Dandy). Is there anywhere to ride on the Penninsula?

we ride there a fair bit just cross country and usualy not actualy in the reserve. we even did a 50km loop the other week with no problems. there are some CRAZY down hill sections in there id say that is what the ranger has the shits over and where they are built its a no bike zone. as far as i knew if horses can use the trail mountain bikers are alowed aswell. i may be wrong though

When we went there the Ranger went absolutley crazy at us... He full cut sick... I was sorta scared... The only reason he let us off was bcuz we lived far away and were riding XC... So its just from my experience... I also know i person who lives on the hill and says some of the locals go crazy at riders...

Just be careful... :o

yes maybe its due to you riding xc bikes. im sure we all read what happend up there with the kid who hurt himself and then his parents wanted to take someone to court etc etc. also depending on where in redhill you ride some locals get the shits but we have come accross lots that say g'day and give us a wave when we are not riding in the national park.

on the sign at the front gate it only says no fires, camping, dirt bikes and rubbish i think, building is just way to far. i heard everyone is fine with people riding there, JUST DONT BUILD STUFF! (northshore etc.) i even saw horse tracks when i was there last weekend. :P
