I have just finished my school certificate and at school we are not doing anything important, ie, were watching stupid videos.

I asked my dad if i can take a day off to go and build our trail. He said 'yes'. But he said he will not sign a note saying i was sic, because it is not true.

They don't have to supply the reason as to why. I do it when I feel like having a day off (rare occasion that mum lets me, which is probably good). Just get mum to write 'Matthew was absent from school on <date>. Regards, Natalie" and thats enough.

I have it easy, i used to wag a few periods every day until i was caught by my school, they called my mum and for some reason we agreed that i can wag if i get permission from my mum, that way im less compelled to wag???? it doesnt make sense but im not complaining. any way with your question, you dont need to provide a reason because people may lie and they dont want to be dicks about it, aslong as you have your parents signature you can do whatever you want. my favourite reason was i had a doctors appointment, i use it everytime i wag, and the good part is that they know your full of shit but they can do sweet fa to prove it.

Honestly, why not just go to school. You are only there for 6 hours a day and surely it isn't that bad, you should have plenty of daylight hours to go and build after school. If there wasn't a reason for you to be at school then why would they tell you to be there? Just go.......
Or you could get your Dad to lie and set a really good example to you for future reference when your kids say "Daddy, I want a day off. We aren't doing anything today that will warrant all of the money your pay for me to get an education".

When i finished my school cert last year, my school had a program for 2
weeks where we got to chose an activity to do for 2 periods every day. And
then we had to a hole lot of othe stuff based on whether we were leaving or
not. I chose wheelchair basketball so i wanted to be there for those 2 weeks
as it was so much fun (it wouldnt be fun if i was stuck in a wheelchair
fulltime like the teacher we had).

But after them 2 weeks i barley went to school til the last few days of school when i had to do my clearence forms.

They dont even give a shit if you were away. They just told us shit like 'if you dont have a FULLtime job you have to attend school until the day you sign out.

And as S. said, just tell them the truth they cant actually do anything to you as far as
disclipline goes really as you never attended school that day i did:cool:

She tries to find out everything thats going on with you.

This girl I know had some family problems and told the teacher who promised not to tell anyone and then the girl told me that all the staff knew and were treating her different to normal and saying nice things to her.

Definately dont say its family problems because they might tell the school Chaplin or whatever and you might have to make up some more stuff which you dont want.

In year 7-10 at our school it doesnt really matter unless you miss an excessive amount that will cause the school to tell ur parents or something like that. In VCE you get 5 unexplained per subject per semester and 15 explained, our co-ordinator would probably accept a note from a parent saying you were working on building jumps/helping the environment;)

I wanted to petition an idea ages ago, it goes like this.

Sponser a bludger: In return for me sponsering some dole-bludgers pay check I get ALL, yes thats right ALL my income tax back (okay so maybe theres some bugs already)

I then take the dole bludger and put them to work.
*mow my lawn
*wash my clothes
*clean my car
*do my shopping ect
then at the end of the week I give him/her, what is it these days $200? If he/she does a good job, if not I sack his/her arse and take another bludger for a test drive.

After all that is said and done I'll still be ALONG way in front :D and all my house work is done so I can spend the weekend doing what I like doing, getting drunk and riding, no not at the same time.

Plus the bludger doesnt need to waste time lining up at centrelink ( we all know how much they love that) and there is no need for shitty "I tired to get a job" excuses.
