It's a sprint race, ya get TWO timed runs and they add em for your total. I loved that place cos you get TONS of runs and you only wait about 10 seconds for the bus (the trip up is literally measured in seconds!)

yeah i know that but the actuly track like is just smooth single track does it have a rock garden>? drops? jumps? etc..
It's got some TIGHT berms, and this awesome jump into a gully that kills you if you try and launch it with no brakes. Got some nice little jumps down the bottom too.

yes it is the NOT SO CRAPPY quad track. stop complaining. at least ftf are bothering to put races on, unlike the rest of the victorian mtb community...
If you know a decent track why not contact the club so we can look it over. in case no ones noticed as yet there are no races for the nxt few months. this is due to a lack of venues. which is due to lack of effort from the dh community excluding the 2 on the club committee.
sorry, getting a bit carried away but
DON'T COMPLAIN IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION or at least some help

CRIKEY! sorry!
i wasnt trying to be a little bitch or anything but the track wasnt to my liking..
why isnt there more races at trafalgar? that was the best race i have ever been in!!! the track was soooooooooo sweeet!!
does anyone have any photos from the last race? the only ones of me that i've seen are on digitalpics.com and i have to buy them.

cos as far as i know the track 'belongs' to another club... one of the slack ones mentioned previously. FTF can't run a race on a course if its not theirs.
also trafalgar is a fair hike- to generate support the races need to be accessible...

why doesnt the slack club hold more events at that track then?? who is it? i thought ftf was the only melbourne club.
What sort of stuff has to be done to have a track approved for racing? Does the NRE have to give permission? And if so, would Narbethong be legal (if you don't know, have you got an educated guess)?

educated guess- call ben reynolds on the ftf downhill hotline and tell him. he scouts it, does most of the work, and decides where the races are. although, council, or property owner permission must first be gained too
suppose i'll be there,
does anyone know if there are any course changes???

I was told ages ago that it's gonna be longer, and go across the flat till the next gully. How reliable this is, I have no idea, but I have a feeling it's probably BS.

the plan was to do what socket said but ftf could not get enough helpers to do this so the idea has been scraped in favour of everyone getting 2 runs
