I have seen some pretty sick photos on Farkin over the last few months and I want to know what programs people use to edit their pictures?
I have got Picasa but I dont like it much so I was wondering if their is any other free editing programs you can download of the net?

I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 on the reasonably rare occasions I do photo editing, my Dad uses it a reasonable amount.
There are ways to download it free off the net... :p

I generally don't edit my photos, other than a crop and maybe a slight exposure adjustment. I just use iPhoto, normally, but if I need some more grunt I'll change to Aperture or Photoshop.

Adobe Photoshop (CS2 is the current, CS3 should be out soon) is the Industry Standard in photo editing.
Not something you can just download, but its well worth getting, its a very powerful program.

Thats because Elements isnt the "current one" of photoshop, its a cheaper more affordable downgrade of photoshop... like you said less tools and not as good controls and other features downgraded.
I use photoshop CS2. I have made some macros to resize, auto levels, sharpen, frame etc, because I need to do lots for the Australian Defence force Cycling Club website. Here is an example of what I have macros to do.

Photoshop CS2. Like Spoolin said it is the industry standard and although it comes with a cost, it is worth it if you are doing editing.
