Just wondering about xt cranks are they strong enough to do dirt jump? or should i go somthing stronger?

Its got a third chain ring on it if you want that but just for DJ you would want to get something that you could set up a chain guide or just like the 2 chain ring cranx. you can bend the third chain ring then you need new ones or it straightened. plus you can't run a bashy on it.

oh dear... Please refrain from giving any more advice from now on.
Wrong wrong and wrong.

Xt cranks are solid whether you ride ss or with gears in the latter case you can run a chain guide by removing the biggest chain ring and the smallest.

A lot of people use the xt s for street, dj and even dh because they are light and strong with external bearing bottom bracket.

They are good cranks but if you are a thrasher and only wish to do dj maybe some heavier duty 3 piece cranks will do the job better.

This biggest worry with XT cranks seems to be ripping the pedal out of the threads, rather than a total crank failure. Though there are quite a few guys running them on DH bikes with only a couple of problems. So as Nicho said, if you are a thrasher prone to hammering parts you might want to consider Hone or Saint.
