View Full Version : sticker protectors for frame
hi folks, did a search but no joy...
does anyone know where you can buy that 3M heavy duty clear sticker stuff to protect from cable rub?? at the bike shop you can get it, but companies cut it into neat shapes for you and sell for 10 bux a sheet??!!!
Im sure it doesnt cost that much if you just need a plain sheet...
Any ideas?
cheers

Do a search on 3M protective film. ;)
Car customisation shops should be of some help too - ask nicely and they may let you raid the offcuts bin.
or if your lazy head into your LBS and ask for some thick skin!

Available from dirt bike shops in large sheets.
Depending what you want to do with it you may be better of with 3m helicopter rotor tape...no this is not a joke, if you just want to protect frame tubes this stuff is more adhesive and comes in rolls about 2 inches wide and is used to protect the leading edges of rotor blades from sand blast....I use it coz I'm so fast...

Go into your LBS and they should be able to give you some for nothing! Just put a couple of layers down, it should be sweet.
