Gear cables are narrower than brake cables, so the short answer is no.
You'd probably find that the Odyssey Linear Slics have too much friction in them to make them much chop as a gear cable.
How about getting a bunch of red heatshrink?

you could look at the aztec powerlines, their a bit on the expensive side, but they certainly look good, and are rumored to perform 3 times better than most?? will let you know when i fit mine on..

so i could just go to dick smith andbuy some heat shrink and pop that on but then it might come off after while and it might wear holes in it from the frame illl wait till some more people tell me no ( i need a definate im a loser who needs a realy big NO NO to not try stuff)
How about getting a bunch of red heatshrink?Heatshrink attracts and holds grease/dirt like nothing else, it's horrid after a few days use. I'm ashamed to know from experience :o

yes there compresion less it stops them binding when doing bar spins and x ups and they have a slic surface on the inside so its better than normal cables
(i just want to run them because of the sweet colours ) :D
