Hey,
What type of ISCG mounting plate would i need for a truvativ boxguide???
Would any of these 2 plates be compatable???

Or is there any truvativ brand mounting plate as i would preffer ordering one of those from my lbs. Any other mounting plate suggestions can also be made.

Box guides come in two different forms - those with tabs already, those without tabs, that mount behind the BB on the drive side.....
So you can answer your own question really
If you have tabs on the back plate, you need what ever format that the chain device already has
looking at those pics, I can only asume (as we dont know) you need the pre-2006 standard (which looks like the black adapter)

The guy i bought it off said it came off an 06 bike so i dunno?? I dont really know much about ISCG tabs but i know that my new frame (SC jackal) doesnt have them. Im going to take the guide down to my lbs today to see if he knows what type of ISCG tabs they are.

The ISCG tabs on this mrp slalom 3 look exactly the same as the tabs on my boxguide: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=6096

with my boxguide,i have the tabs but it also gets pintched between the frame and the bb cups.. so it may pay trying that before you go out and buy a iscg mountinh plate

i was running a standard truvativ isis bb on my hardtail(no iscg) and im now running a race face x type on my new frame(iscg) with some mods to allow the second part of the bracket(ie the part that the top guide mounts too) to fit over the external cups
i forgot to say before that i picked up three small countersunk bolts and matching nuts to hold the two parts of the guide together.

Ahh k then. So did this work using your gigapipe BB???
Truvativ boxguides are iscg 05 ay???
Im planning on using a howitzer bb but the bb is made to go with the boxguide so i dont think it will get "stuck" behind the BB cup.
Truvativ boxguides are iscg 05 ay???
no, just regular ISCG or BB Mount.
ISCG 05 is not realy that widley used.
