Well today i bought my first DH specific bike..... :D
2001 Norco DH team with Fox vanilla RC
Shivers
Azonic stem
Easton monkeybar
Raceface cranks, chainring and BB (splined)
Hadley rear hub, Dice front both laced to sunn single wides
Hayes 8 inch hydros
Azonic pedals
FSA Pig headset
XT rear mech
XT shifter
WTB seat

needs a new front brake and rear rim and ill finally be rolling again.....sweet

I had an 02, I *think* they had basically the same geometry, and I would recommend that you try running the 7" position as well as the 8" one - the 7" one just slacks it out a little bit more.

Is the 7' position the middle of the three holes?

Yeah it is. Notice how it's set back a bit further than the 8" one, just that liiiittle bit more slackness. That was my preferred setting anyway, but play around with it and see what you like.
