Hoping the collective knowledge base here can give me some views on this.

I have riden hope bulbs before and loved them, I am building up a new wheelset and am tossing up between going with hope bulbs or the new hope pro II. I have had no experince with the pro II's have they superseded bulbs? Are they better? Would you recomend one over the other? Any info on this would be great

Thanks Andrew

Hope Pro II's are a new model from Hope, they sit between the XC and Bulb hubs in terms of pricing. They're the lightest hubs from Hope, have a different engagment system to the others (the pawls aren't sprung individually, rather they're sprung by one big spring- like Hadley). In terms of performance, after running them on a short term basis they're typical Hope hubs- no problems at all.

Yes I was sure they superseded the bulbs as well. Anyway, I have the pro ll's and they are great. No problems, look sweet, sound awesome.

Whats it like getting parts? I'm going to be upgrading wheelset at the end of the year to a 721/Pro II set. If something was to shit itself, are parts readily available? Expensive?

I've been using Pro II's for DH for about 2-3 months now.

There great no problems except rims, 721's:rolleyes: There better than Ringles, heaps lighter.

Go em there great hubs

Crc seem to have alot of hub parts for hope. I'm guessing some of them would be compatible with the pro ll's.
