Hey guys i posted before about buying an 07 Bigfoot but after seeing the Sasquatch advertised im probably gonna go for that instead. Im just wondering though at this price is it still worth going for a hartail? I do basically a mix of downhill and freeride, with a lot of drops and a little bit of dirt jumping but not that much. My mates bought 06 AC's and Six Three's for $1300 about a month ago and im wondering whether or not something like that would be the better option and if so what dual suspension bikes should i look at? I saw some of the haros looked alright and one of the mongooses but cant remember which.

you cant beat that feeling of whooping their butts, and doing it on a HT! i wouldnt personally be getting an AC over a Sassie or a haro, the sassie is gonna be hassle free( should be) and you'll be considered the ballsy one.

I reckon stick with the bigfoot, your back will thank you up the hills! But, tis your hard earned dosh. Another vote for hardtails.

Sasquatches are a solid, reliable bike. A mate of mine owns own and thrashes the absolute shit out of it, hucks to flat galore etc. and it really hasn't succumbed to any more damage then broken derailleur hangers and slightly buckled wheels. The only thing is... they are heaaaavy
And if the AC comes with stances, Either DON'T get it, or regret it.

Another vote for the Sassy. A mate who is just getting into the more DH side of things just got one. Makes me wish I got something that nice while I saved up for a full blown DH'er.

Ok i think theres nothing left to do now other than go buy myself a sasquatch. Do you think $1300 is a good price for a brand new 07 model or do you think i could get cheaper?

Go hard tail. It will be a rough ride but it gets your skills up on controling the back end in stead of just rolling all rocks and bumps. It also depends on the amount of just riding you d, if you do a lot because you cant get driven to places and have to ride a lot more efficent on HT then DH bike. Sassie likes to be thrashed:D

Just to confirm, the AC is an all mountain type bike and if you want to do anything more than that it's not going to last. If you want a full susser and that is your budget I'd get a second hand higher quality bike off this forum.

I pity the AC, its got to be one of the most thrashed bikes of all time. its been bought by a generation of rennie and bender wannabees who have proceeded to kill heaps of them by riding them way past their limits.

Sassy runs smooth as! I "test" rided it at a bike shop *cough cough*

Get the sassy and own them!

07 Sassy looks sick aswell. Good stock forks!

$1300 for an '07 Sassy is pretty good considering the RRP is $1599. You could always try to talk them down even more, but I doubt you'd get much lower than $1300. ;)

I got my 07 sassy for $1300. Great bike, nice and solid. Although i have had some slight trouble with the forks and the cranks which both were easily fixed.
