How does Dainese Safety Jacket Next grab you?? I wore it for one city ride as you can see here:

I haven't used it since. (I'm now think of selling that bike too cause I ride trials now instead)
Anyways, back to the armour. You can't get better than dainese, especially for the australian climate. This armour breathes soooooo well when you're moving. Not the best when you're sitting still, but then again nothing is.
This armour has elbow, shoulder and chest plates; all made of plastic. Then the back/spine protector (which is removable via a zipper on either side) is a honeycomb mesh which provides awesome proctection at a minimal weight and great airflow.
The back protector is held on by a big elastic/velcro waist/kidney belt. Another cool feature is that the shoulders have adjustable staps that conect to the top of the chest plate to stop your shoulders rolling back and dislocating in the event of a crash.
The rest of it is a lycra mesh, which has thumb cuffs at the ends of the sleeves so the sleeves don't slide up when you have gloves on.
As for size, it's a medium. Keep in mind this stuff is made by Italians, who are generaly little people. I'm 6'2" and pretty lanky, and it fits like a glove.
I paid £200 for it when I was over in England in October. I would be happy to let it go $350 posted to wherever you are.
I can guaruntee this armour will not disapoint you.
