well Transition is truly the flavour of the month, so it was a lovely surprise to have these two little beasties appear in the shop this morning.

first up we have the Trail or Park (get it, trailer park...... :o ) just $699 gets you this little bundle of 4130 Cromoly goodness.

secondly the Bottle Rocket, just $1799 including the DHX 5.0, damn!! pictured here in raw finish.... and i mean raw, not even clear coated. this gives you the option to run with the 'fresh from the backyard manufacturing' look, or Transition supply you with a whole stack of stickers in case you want to get a custom paint job done and run stickers later. hats off to them for forward thinking.

what do you guys think????

im amzed they sell it unfinished.. you would want to sell them quick, as the aluminuim would just tarnish after a few weeks of sitting in the shop!
does it cost more to get it pre-painted????

Damn I might have to come in just to have a look at the bottlerocket close up. One of the sexiest bikes I saw was a raw bottlerocket like that on pinkbike, no stickers at all just raw metal

Or get the Autosol out and polish it up to a mirror finish ;)

it already is tarnished..... it was like that when i pulled it out of the box. i honestly didn't know what to think of it when i first saw it. but now i've spent a day touching it very inappropriately, i love it. its getting a great reaction in the shop.

its getting a great reaction in the shop.Yeah, 4Al + 3O2 = 2AL2O3 :D

Sweet bike though, if the BR was big enough to ride all day on it'd be one killer do-all machine.

Raw aluminium oxyidizes within a few minutes, you have to be careful not to touch it with bare hands or the oil (or mabey the salts) in your skin make it oxyidize a darker colour, after about 30-40 min it's pretty well stabelised so long as you don't pour a strong alkaline on it.

Raw is the same price as the painted colours.
