The wheels will be upgraded to D521 ceramic laced to hope pro II hubs unsure on spokes yet.

The bike is awsome to ride althought i have no idea how to set up a dhx 5 properly i have the right spring rate but thats about it. So if anyone knows anything about SPV levels etc, please let me know.

Will post upgrades when they happen

Awesome bike, used to be my dream bike :)

What sort of riding are you going to be using it for?

The dhx 5 has a system called propedal, not SPV, they work differently but for much the same result I believe.

Very Nice...

With the forks I have had 888's and Boxxers WC's on a VP. I prefer the boxxers although my 888's were 04. The 888's were bit tall (even with the flat crowns) and the low speed compression was too soft despite a fork mod. I do like the front of my bike low though. Performance wise the 888's were more supple, the boxxers were more stable but faster.
Hope that helps

mostly doing dh but will be doing some longer trail riding. My query with the dhx 5 is there is an air valve on the shock on the end of the piggy back chamber, does this have to be changed with different rider weights?

Well done. Go with the boxxer. I have tried two boxxers, a dorado, and a 888 on my Free, and Boxxer's definitely suit the geo best. (run flat crowns).

is that flat crowns for the boxxers? Where can you get them from?

Yeah, flat crown on the Boxxer. They come with either a drop or flat crown option. Select flat crown, and you'll have one racey set up. Its only the top crown the changes, and the crowns are not 'flat' like a marzocchi flat crown (still have a slight rise) but the overall fork height still ends upbelow a zocchi.
