You obviously haven't ridden a pair of old skool xt's
The deore don't even compare.
These brakes aren't available any more and alot of people consider them sort after.

May be interested... What sort of condition are the pads in and do they need a bleed?

There is heaps of meat on the pads left, the caliper is in absolute perfect condition, the levers have some scratching on that little plastic gap. If you look closely at the pics you can see what i'm talking about. As for a bleed, they are working perfectly i spent 2hrs giving them the best bleed they could ever hope for just recently, i'm very pedantic. Also i have some fluid which will come with them.

Actually, that's not true. Irrelevant to the sale, but the 525 deore's definitely aren't inferior to the old XT's in terms of power or bite. They clamp down hard, and with the right pads make a great DH brake.

That's from someone who's run pretty much every shimano brake, including the 4pots and currently running saints.

Consider it a free bump... just don't post false info to support your sale. :)
