We don't have actual shipping details yet, it's not going to be inside month I'd say.
None the less, it will be the earliest '08DH bike in Oz - and on the Team Race frame from this season, with Boxxers - $2,999. Better value there is not;)

the new atomik should be instores by the 1st of aplril well at bike culture anyways so yer oh and they will be 3000 flat is that a good deal or what the frame is the old team frame but new and boxxer races and all sorts of goodies what a great deal thank you norco

The frame is the same as the 2007 [current model] Norco Team DH frame. This bike based on frame/price/spec is the best out on the market. These things will not last long. Why buy a Kona Stinky when you can have this beast!

Yea. ive done some research on the 08 model, and ive found that it comes stock with:
-Rock Shox Boxxer Race
-Fox DHX-3 shock
-Truvativ bars, cranks, seatpost and stem
-Avid Juicy 3's
-Sun Singletrack rims
-Awion hubs
-Sram X-7 rear mech

But the main thing is that its retail is only $3000, which i think is amazing, because the forks and shocks almost make up that price alone.

that 08 atomik is ugly, it has awesome spec but the paint job and stuff is just gross.

They feel worse than my old hayes sole!
The frame itself looks one hell of a lot weaker(don't know why, but it just does for me).
Other than the bad brakes and paint job, the spec is pretty good for 3k. However, due to the decent spec and decent-er price, these will be popping up everywhere, just like stp's :p

It is NOT weaker, you phalics. We employed a new team of engineers in Canada to redesign the frame this season. For years Norco have been criticisd for being overweight, and when we finally deliver what YOU all asked for, our bike is tooooo weak?

The Team DH this season was a weapon. This is the Atomik frame for 08
IMO, was the first real DH race bike we have had. Those of you that have bothered to look at one in the flesh will know what I'm on about. As I've seen every production bike available in Oz, and ridden most, the Norco comes out looking very noice indeed.

The paint job is personal, and considering that NONE of you have seen it in the flesh....well, just cork it.

If you considser this bike a dodgey purchase based on these points, you are an absolute moron.:D

Oh that would have worked.:rolleyes: Your comment is irrelevant, given that basically any brake can be good if set up correctly and looked after.

This is THE best value DH race bike in Oz, for 2008 BAR-NONE....and I haven't seen the competition.

Well it is our personal opinion, even if you dont agree with it theres sweet f a that you can do to change the fact that certain people find the paint job shit and the frame weak from first glance, however they should see it in the "flesh" and ride it before they pass too much judgement.

I have an 07 team DH and I like the frame.... doesn't seem weak at all.

For the price the 08 Atomik does seem great value with tis spec. As did my Team DH when I got it at the start of the year.

Not every one can afford Yeti, Santa Cruz etc frames with awsome spec parts. Norco is a great brand in my opinion.

i doubt hes realy worried either, considering, all the dh bikes were sold out before they even had the bikes in aus this year or realy i should be saying last year, seeing as these as said to be comeing out on the 9th next month:eek:

people will always judge by looks, but with bikes you always need to delve a bit deeper.

hey the paint job looks awsome i think you just need to see it close up but i do think that the green should be like a red or blue (red makes it go faster) it would look hot then but it still looks and im sure it will ride sick so thats what i think

ok they only brought the 08 out because they had overstock of the dh team frame so they thro on some cheap components (nothing cheap about them at all) and sell them to make a thing called profit i believe its a one off thing so dont expect any changes to any of the other bikes that norco bring out

I have to say that the 07 paint job is alot better, but seeing this in a larger picture, i dont think that the 08 one looks too bad.
The specs are awesome for that $3000, so i think theres not too many more doubts i have in the bike, exept that a few people think it looks weak, but it is supposed to be lighter than the previous team dh frame.:D

Having seen and ridden one, i have to say that they ride prity well (i'm no expert tho), are fantastic value for money, and don't look too bad. the only thing that shoud be changed, i think, is the red grips.... makes it look christmassy...
